Can you add this to yoghurt and if so how much would you need to add for a small/big pot please?

The simple answer is yes.The enzyme should work as effectively in yoghurt as in fresh milk and you should add the same amount per volume of yoghurt as you would per volume of milk. You will need to be careful to respect the delay between treating and eating as the rate of breakdown of the lactose may be slightly slower in the slightly acidic conditions of the yoghurt.The more complex question is whether you need to. If you eat natural "live" yoghurts made by fermenting milk with lactobacterial cultures then the lactose content is already much lower (typically less than 1% compared to 4% or so in fresh milk) because it is the lactose in the milk that the bacteria "eat" in order to produce the acid which turns the milk into yoghurt. Most yoghurts bought in the EU are made by fermentation and for most people with only a mild intolerance this level of lactose is sufficiently low not to cause problems. Cheaper yoghurts which are made by simply adding lactic acid to milk have the same lactose content as fresh milk and should be treated with the lactase enzyme to eliminate the lactose.NB if you make your own yoghurts you can pre-treat the milk with the lactase enzyme at the same time as when you mix in the culture. The combined activity of the enzyme and the bacteria should ensure that the lactose concentration of the final product is essentially zero.

Does this work with cheese?

Not with hard cheese but then most hard cheeses have zero carbohydrates which means zero lactose. Soft cheese maybe, but it would need to be well mixed and left for 10 hours for the lactase enzyme to pre digest the lactose. Works best in milk.

I assume it could be used in whipping cream just like milk and similar products?

Whilst it wasn’t tested in a lab to prove it wasn’t lactose free. I used BioCare Lactase Enzyme in double cream which I then used to make lactose free clotted cream. The lactose intolerant family member had their first cream scone in more than a decade with no ill effect or intolerance symptoms.

how many drops do you need a litre and how many drops do you get from the 15ml bottle?

Well if you need 5 dropper pint of 568ml that converts into 8.8 drops per litre .... so 9. Easy!
A drop is roughly 0.05ml. 15/0.05=300drops per bottle which allows you do treat 33l of milk.
That being said, this is primary school maths.
