Having found that my neo wasn't coping well with enamel paints and was giving me lots of grief, but don't get me wrong the neo is a fine airbrush, fine being the operative word as it struggled with thicker paints and needing to thin them alot to get a good spray pattern. I believe the 0.35mm was the problem as it couldn't handle primers etc giving me intermittent results. After some research I decided on the Iwata revolution CR, and boy I'm glad I did. This airbrush is superb with thicker enamel and primer but also for fine detailing too at low air pressures. Touching up overspray using the neo was so easy to cover over with the revolution CR like it was a was a precision instrument. The CR with its 0.5mm needle makes all the difference and I'm not knocking the neo as its a great airbrush with thinner paints for detailing but as the colours I need are only available in enamel paint I have no choice, as I respray model trains so the colours must be a good match. This airbrush has good action that's smooth and precise. Easy to clean and comfortable to hold with no fatigue either. Needless to say I'm over the moon with this airbrush and totally recommend it for enamel or thicker paints.

I bought a £20 cheap chinese airbrush to paint miniatures, and it broke literally the first day I used it. It was single action, and even when it did spray paint it barely worked. All pro airbrushers say to not skimp, and at first I thought they were just endorsing the product, but they turned out to be right. This may not be an elite fine detail airbrush, but it is the next best thing, especially for a beginner like me. The 5mm needle is perfect for any size model... soldiers all the way up to large vehicles, and there is lots of cool effects you can do with it. It has a screw on needle cap which makes it easy to clean, as well as being dual action which reduces clogging. The chinese one was touch to clean and also dismantle. This is crazy easy to use, clean, and has a nice trigger action. So easy I was barsly thinking about it and just airbrushing. A lot of people are hesitant to get an airbrush, I was one of them, and I now honestly wish I got it sooner. The basecoats are easy to apply, and are mega smooth with this airbrush. Long term this is a great investment to help improve the quality of your miniatures, and you can ditch those expensive aerosal cans. I would recommend getting an airbrush holder with it so you can place it down. This doesn't come with a hose, but those arent expensive, size needed is 1/8, Fengda makes some ones under a tenner. Also get a portable spray booth, and respirator masks.

As polished a product as you'd expect from Iwata. The larger nozzle makes shooting primer, metallic and thicker paint an absolute breeze while still allowing for pretty fine lines - although I think I'll stick with my Neo for detail work. This brush is going to be an absolute godsend for anyone working in larger scales, and with practice I'm sure I'll be freehanding camouflage with ease. Luftwaffe mottling,? No problem! Cleans very easily, making for quick colour changes. Overall, I'm only upset I didn't buy one sooner. Excellent value as well.

Having used airbrushes on and off for over twenty years, the only one that ever really impressed me was an Olympos HP-B, others just couldn't match it's combination quality and effectiveness. Until now. This Iwata bears a striking resemblance to the Olympos HP range, but unlike other brands that have 'borrowed' from the Olympos design the Iwata actually works as well too. It's also quite a bit cheaper than the [rare in the UK] Olympos models. This CR model has a wider .5mm nozzle compared to the HP-B .2mm making it more suited to general airbrushing duties rather than ultra fine detail work, but it's possible to impressively fine lines if you want. It's wider nozzle also helps with thicker media such as acrylic paint and handles Tamiya paints well and even deals their with metallic paint effectively too. Definitely recommended to those looking for a quality airbrush, but don't want to break the bank. Don't waste your money on cheaper brands.

I bought the Iwata quite a while ago and never got round to use it until recently. Well I was pleasantly surprised. I use a Hader Steenbeck for most of my detail work with a 0.2 needle. I tried the Revolution out and you can get from a fine pencil thin line to quite a wide spray. It is my airbrush of choice now for all primer work and where large coats of single colours are used. It is not the cheapest airbrush on the market but with this sort of equipment you get what you pay for. For most modelers you would not need any other airbrush, this is an excellent all rounder. My only criticism is the nozzle is not the easiest one to clean. You have to be very careful if you do a total strip down as the nozzle head could be easily over tightened leading to a potentially costly repair.

New to airbrushing, I first bought a cheap unbranded airbrush, big mistake. After a lot of frustration trying to get the cheap one to work properly I thought I'd splash out on a reputable brand. What a difference, the Iwata Revolution just works!!!! No problems at all with it. I'm using Vallejo Model Air paints and they can be used without thinning in the Iwata and spray very well, with the cheap model I had to thin them a lot to get them to spray at all!! The old adage is true it seems, you get what you pay for.

After using the same Badger for 10 years, I was due an upgrade as i found many of the inks i now use were blocking it up. I did a lot of research before opting for this model and I am not disappointed. It has a large paint well and a nozzle which can handle pretty much any ink i use, including thick metallics. The dual action feed is quick and easy to master (my badger airflow was adjusted manually which could be a pain in the butt) I just wish I'd bought one a long time ago!

Very easy to use. Can even get away with some light detail work. Easy to clean and pretty sturdy. Chrome coating looks lovely.

Genial! Honestamente no pensaba que hubiera a haber tanto cambio en comparación con el típico aerógrafo barato. Compré uno de estos baratos pensando que no sería para tanto...Me duró dos días...Llevo ya 1 mes con este y 0 problemas! Siendo principiante, encuentro que la aguja de 0,5mm es ideal para evitar problemas de atascos de pintura y demás (obviamente sacrificas precisión pero lo suelo usar para superficies grandes o el pintado de varias piezas del mismo color a la vez) Además yo, que suelo usar mayormente las pinturas de Vallejo (model color) que son un poco densas, con este aerógrafo no he tenido ningún tipo de atasco. En definitiva, muy recomendable y SI, merece la pena si eres principiante. Yo tampoco pensaba que habría tanta diferencia a pesar de leer muchas opiniones por internet, pero efectivamente es una gozada en comparación.

This airbrush is worth every cent, it sprays wherever you put in it with ease and without webbing or splotching.

Got this to replace an old Aztek brush that I never could get the hang of. This was a dream straight out of the box, flawless for priming minis, and goes down fine enough for some more detailed work. Highly recommended.

Aerografo per affiancare un NEO-CN 0.35 nella stesura di Primer e finish sui modellini statici. Il diametro da 0.5 della duse si sente subito, erogazione costante e con il Primer nessun problema di intasamento. Ho provato diversi valori di pressione ma stando nel range dato da manuale 20-30 PSI non ho riscontrato problemi. La pulizia nonostante la cup sia fissa è una vera bazza, un po di diluente e un pennellino e torna come nuovo. Tutte le parti si disassemblano e si puliscono in un attimo per poi essere rimontate. Prestate attenzione nell'operazione di estrazione/inserimento dell'ago, che la punta non si pieghi, per il resto credo sarà un gran bel muletto. Costicchia, rispetto ad altri brand sicuramente, ma la qualità c'è tutta.

I don't think it's possible to get a better airbrush for less money. It's very well built. Easy to use, disassemble, reassemble, clean, etc. It works great out of the box. My only recommendation to anyone getting into airbrush painting is to really pay attention to the brand of paint that you use. The quality of the paint is probably more critical than the brush itself.
