Great product. Even better with Joe Seph’s Mushroom kernels. No oil required. Just fluffy warm popcorn. Very easy to use. The equipment gets very hot, and blasts the popcorn out, a few landed on the floor. You’ll need bigger boxes than the ones provided. No regrets.

This is a great basic popcorn maker. Very easy to use, and produces the basic goods in approximately 2 minutes. Very pleased for what is my first buy of a machine for this job. I'm seeing some people say that the popcorn is too chewy. Whilst it's true that the popcorn is a little bit chewy, it's not bad at all. It's very different to the oil popped rubbish you get in cinemas and supermarkets, so there isn't as much crunch, but then again there is virtually no fat at all. Whether you like this or not is personal taste. (I do.) Whilst using the scoop to heat a flavouring is useful I can say that it doesn't work so well with coconut oil, if for example you've been reading BBC's recipes about using coconut oil and salt/cinnamon. You're better off heating this mixture in small bowl in your microwave instead. (I've not tried using butter and probably won't be, not to my taste.) There's only 2 things I don't like about this product: 1) The noise: It's not a quiet machine, will definitely be louder than your microwave. It's not the popping that's loud, it's the machine's internal motor to cycle the air as fast as it needs it to be. 2) Unpopped kernels: Sure we expect some of these, and often enjoy crunching half a dozen of them at the end of the bowl, but if you insert 1 levelled scoop of kernels into the machine the first pop will cause about a dozen unpopped kernels to fly out the shoot. You need to insert less than 1 whole levelled scoop to lower this. That being said I will not be returning/swapping this product over those two points. Overall I'm very satisfied with this machine, enough to munch through two large bowls on a Saturday afternoon without realising how much I've had. Good thing it's fat free. :) NOTE: The official product description/manual says that this comes with 1 bag of popping corn. It does NOT. This isn't a big deal though as you can get a bag for like £1 from your local supermarket, and that one bag will often fill 10ish large bowls. (Look for them by the bags of lentils and dried peas.)

This popcorn maker machine has been one of the best items I have bought from amazon. The machine works like a charm. It really needs no oil or butter and it makes popcorns in less than 2 minutes. Although it does not necessarily need butter/oil, I have added some butter, salt, and chilli flakes and it tastes delicious. Also the machine is very good looking and the popcorn boxes add a nice touch. The only drawback is that if the kernels are not used soon after the bag was open, the popcorn may be a little chewy and less crunchy, however you can store them in a dry tight container and they will remain fresh and crunchy. I am very happy with the product, the delivery was excellent (the item arrived sooner than was stated), and the item was as described by the seller.

I was looking for a popcorn maker, having had one many years ago. Most important things to me were compact size and the butter melting cup……I like buttered and salted popcorn! So, how did it perform? Well, it was pretty much the same as my old one: popped quickly, although there were quite a few un-popped. However, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt as I don’t know how good the corn was. The popping does get ‘exciting’, but my granddaughter loved this…..especially finding the escapees! For occasional use, this will be just fine. If you have a bigger family or are a popcorn aficionado, you’ll need a bigger machine!

Bought this as a gift for my son for his birthday in December. First time using it last night. Works really fast but absolutely ruins the quality of the popcorn as it comes out rather tough and almost stale like. (Popcorn kernels are new and only expire in 2026). Straight afterwards I made popcorn in a normal pot using the same batch of popcorn kernels and they were totally different. Nice and fresh and fully popped. I found with this popcorn machine it wasted alot of the popcorn kernels that just got shot out of the machine with the popcorn. Really disappointed actually. If we had of used it straight after buying it I would have returned it. Absolute rubbish.

Very good machine makes popcorn in seconds, but I find the popcorn very chewy, so I experimented and found a way to make it crisper. just spray it with 1 spray oil (pam) or pour a teaspoon of olive oil on the popcorn batch before it goes in the machine, obviously don't pour anything directly in the machine! But when the kernels are coated before hand they come out a lot crispier you could also buy some popcorn seasoning and add that to the oiled kernels but I found you cannot put the seasoning directly in or it just gets blown out of the top. All in all very good value for money. Gets very hot as all these machines do so please be careful of the kids touching it after.

Don’t buy! Popcorn flies everywhere but in the container. Very noisy. Very cheap. :-(

The item arrived within 2 days by courier which was fantastic. This was for a birthday present and has only been used a couple of times but it is great. I would suggest that you put less than a full scoop of corn in at a time (the instructions say a full scoop) as it does produce a massive amount and quite a bit of corn was un-popped on first use. The second time when we used less corn it was much better and all popped. The motor is loud and once the popping starts the corn flies out everywhere but this was all part of the fun! The corn cases are a bit messy to eat from when sauce added as they are quite narrow and deep. The actual machine is of good quality, easy to use and clean and does what it is supposed to. it is a great hit as a present.
