SureFlap cat flap mounting adapter, white, 1 piece (pack of 1)

Great product, excellent customer service from manufacture. We’ve had the flap for over a year, it has been brilliant, we needed to refit it to the new French doors, so we needed this extra surround, easy to fit, full instruction with it. We’ve had some building work done and the flap was moved from the old wooden door into the new French doors. In this process, we managed to lose the screws!! Customer service at SureFlap were fantastic. I went to their website, left a message with all the flap’s and my details, within 3 working days the new screws were delivered to my door (free of charge). Other companies take note, this is customer service, this is how to look after your customers. One very happy customer!!

Initially I was hesitant abut spending so much money on a cat flap, and I was also concerned about whether my 11-year old cat's microchip could be read. However, the product works perfectly, does exactly what it says it does, and was incredibly easy to set up. Unfortunately the back door was lined with metal but I fitted the mounting adaptor and haven't had a single problem. The cat, who has historically had a lot of problems with cat flaps (I previously had magnetic ones and he struggled to operate them properly coming in, and occasionally got stuck after collecting bits of rusty metal on his magnet), did not take to it immediately. He knew what to do but was extremely suspicious - I got the impression he found the whole thing way too easy. But after a couple of days he really got into it and now he loves his new cat flap and no longer only goes out to use the 'facilities'. For the first time in about 3 years he's actually spending more time outside than in during the day. If you're torn between this cat flap and a magnetic one, let me help you out: had I known how fantastic this flap was, I'd have bought it years ago. I'll never buy magnetic again.

As with the whole 'Sureflap' range, this helps the catflap to be the best product of its kind out there. Easy installation, looks smart and 'in keeping' with the french patio door we have it in and the price was very reasonable. Be sure to do your research to find out exactly what you need beforehand - once installed, no problems. Excellent product, recommended.

Really efficient. My pet can come and go whenever she feels like it. Ot took about 4 weeks until she was comfortable with it but it's all go now. Great product !!

I had to buy the mounting adaptor as the sureflap cat flap was to be put in the patio windows. It works well. It took alittle persuading for the cat to use it but it is working great now. No longer is the patio doors being left open for him to go out and come back in. So overall I would definitely recommend this product for use in patio doors. I bought the micro chip version. It was very well explained and it was very easy to set up the micro chip after bribing him to put his head through the flap to activate the micro chip. I just wish I had bought this product this months ago. It is worth every penny and is so easy to use.

This product is excellent. For years I have been inadvertently feeding every cat in the area. They used the old cat flap at will. I bought this item to prevent that. I had to also buy the converter plate (my old cat flap was round) but both items arrived together in good time and were easy to fit with just 2 bolts. setting the system up for my cat could not have bee easier. My cat is not very bright, and took 2 days to get used to the new flap, but now uses it without a problem. The good thing is that only she can use it. More importantly, she has put on some weight. She was always underweight, but now I realise that other cats were eating her food for her, and she was not getting her fair share. I would highly recommend this product.

I purchased this to be inserted into a patio glass door and have to say it looks great. It's a better plastic than the rivals I have seen which crack and the yube is nice and this so where it sticks out won't get damaged. Be aware if putting into toughened glass you will need to order glass as it can't be cut no matter what you read. Also shop around as the quotes for glass ranged from £160 to £250. Programming for the micro chip is easy yo press a button which sets off a flashing sensor the insert cat into catflap the light will then go out indicating microchip read. Do again for the other 32 animals you want to let into your house. My only complaint is in the picture it has a round mounting plate. Gust what it doesn't come with this and cost me another £7. when they cut the glass the hole is round so you need this plate as the cat flap is square. Hope that all helps.

Essential item if you're fitting the Sureflap Microchip catflap into an existing round hole left by a previous catflap. I bought this as I was replacing an old, broken catflap in a double-glazed glass door. The hole that was originally cut in the glass to accommodate the old catflap was 220mm in diameter, the Sureflap requires a hole of 212mm diameter. So it was just a case of slotting this over the main body of the Sureflap, putting the indoor half of the Sureflap into the hole in the door from the inside, then doing the same on the outside of the door with the other half so that everything inside and out is aligned, then screwing it all together. Voila! Sureflap catflap installed in a few minutes. And I have practically no DIY experience, so that's how easy it is. I didn't use the suggested all weather sealant on the adaptor, as the previous catflap had an adaptor fitted without it, and we had no issues with rain coming in...plus, I didn't have any in the house and just thought I'd give it a try without as I'm impatient to get my two young cats used to it by tonight so I can keep out a large feline intruder who eats their food and sprays (and who broke the last catflap!) If I have any issues with it not being weatherproof due to not using the silicone sealant, I'll report back. UPDATE Jan 2016: Catflap fine without the silicone sealant, have had no leaks whatsoever.
