Ideal for outdoor activities. Cheap and might save a life.
As a sailor, I know it is important to have a means of cutting a rope in a hurry. Not just having something to rectify a tangle of lines causing a sail to get stuck or thrash around the deck whipping at the crew, but something to keep on your person if you are clipped on to the boat and you fall overboard and are dragged along at water level. The traditional solution is a sailor's knife, but you have to remember to take it out of your jacket pocket before you go to the pub (UK knife law) and then remember to put it back in your jacket again afterwards.Save the worry and get a pair of these scissors instead. They cut a wet rope in a single snip, unlike my partner's multitool, and you're not going to stab yourself with them in a panic! Very cheap, so if they go dull or rusty or fall overboard, just buy another pair.

They’re ok
They’re cheap, but you get what you pay for. For the price they’ll do the job for a while but not sustained use, also they were sent via Royal Mail so don’t expect next day delivery, for me they arrived 6 days after expected.

In my first aid kit
They do exactly what you need, at a price which is accessible. Cut well through all sorts of materials, I’ve used it on leather and fabric. They are taped to my climbing first aid kit and get torn off all the time for small jobs

Decent for the price
Fair enough quality for the price but cant see them being too long lasting

Pointless but perfect
These were to replace an identical looking pair I bought off one of those door-to-door supposed ex-offenders. The new ones were however like a totally different pair of scissors, providing a much better cut than my old ones ever did. So far I’ve not tested them (blunted them) on really tough jobs like electrical flex, but at the price they’re almost a throw away item anyway. My main beef with scissors like these is the 90° flat end they put at the business end. It frequently gets in the way. Otherwise thoroughly recommended for all DIY usage, being v.sharp & able to deliver a clean cut.
