My granddaughter has just discovered she does actually love swings so I looked for one for her garden, saw this one and ordered it and I am so glad I did. The swing arrived less than 24 hours after ordering it and my son put it together quite quickly and we are really impressed with the stacks that are supplied with it that actually anchors it to the ground, these stacks are nothing like the old style metal pins, I wish we had a photo to show these stacks but they really do anchor this swing to the ground making the swing extremely safe for my granddaughter to use, she is 21/2 and although she isn't big enough yet to get herself on the seat she lays over the seat and swings herself that way until someone comes to put her on the seat, the higher she goes the more she loves it and the frame does not move. It only took her one push to learn how to get her balance on the seat which was amazing and she is already learning how to propel herself. This swing should last her for a very long time as it is well made and sturdy, the ropes and seat can be put away for the winter to extend their life but can be easily put back on if there is a nice day. The swing itself is not massive so is suitable for most garden sizes. If you have been looking for a garden swing I would definitely recommend this one, I know my granddaughter is going to get many many hours of fun and it will last a for many years.

So we needed a swing for our 6 yr old daughter and, after a lot of shop visits and Internet browsing, we decided upon the Hedstrom single swing. Amazon were cheapest but we had to go elsewhere to get product info. Hedstrom claim it is suitable for 3-10 year olds and I would agree that 10+ is really asking too much of it. Easily assembled (circa 20 mins with the allen key included), we then set about positioning it on the lawn. First point, like all swings, it needs to be firmly secured. Recommended is the use of of concrete if necessary to secure each short 'ground peg' that is secured to and angled out from the bottoms of the tubular powder coated steel legs. We hammered the arms into the ground and, after considerable testing for peace of mind, we were satisfied that the movement of the arms was minimal and it was safe for the children to use it. Some months later after a hard Summer's use, the swing is still intact and it remains firmly secure.the bright orange chunky moulded seat and adjustable ropes have stood up to the abuse that only 6 year olds seem capable of dreaming up! A firm favourite with our daughter and her friends, the Hedstrom is competitively priced, appears as well made as comparable units and is, to date, durable I think we have got our money's worth! I would just caution anyone buying a swing of whatever type to ensure that they fully understand in advance what may be required to achieve a secure fixing into the ground and safe use! A 4/5 simply because the securing of the ground pegs in the ground was a little prolonged as trial and error more than practical advice informed us best how to achieve the best result.Other than that, great value for money and my daughter reckons it is a winner!

Easy assembly Good product

Despite my daughter being under 2 and a half years, we ordered this product for use under close supervision. Was very easy to assemble and secure ( we have not put concrete in as daughter is still very light and does not cause the legs to uproot) and feels sturdy. We will buy a more expensive wooden swing when we have a bigger garden, but for the moment, and for the price, this has been a great buy. Have older kids coming this weekend so hopefully it will be robust enough for wild little boys>

brilliant swing, my 4 year old daughter loves it!! it's been concreted into the grass and works brilliantly it's the same swing as on 'Topsy and Tim' just a single one lovely bright colour, easy to put together, perfect size for our small garden defiantly recommend this swing, worth the money too EDIT - We've had this swing now for 3 years, no rust, still looks like new and had been left out in wind, rain, snow and hot sunshine.

Arrived early, ok for price and had this make a number of times over years.

Great little swing

Item was bought for my 12 month old grandson, and was fitted with a separate, 'bucket-type' seat with a t-bar, suitable for a toddler. First, the pros: attractive colours; relatively easy to assemble; reasonable price; frame suitable for young children. However, the method of anchoring the swing seems peculiar, unnecessarily complicated and impractical. The swing is provided with four short tubes. The instructions show that these can be driven into the ground at a 45 degree angle and bolted to the A-frame, although the recommendation is that they are set into concrete. If following the recommendation, mowing around the swing would be challenging, and if the frame was removed for storage in, say, winter, the stakes would represent a tripping hazard. If using the alternative anchoring approach, alignment of the holes in the stake with those in the legs of the swing is straight forward, but then hammering 'blunt' stakes, attached to the A-frame, into grass at 45 degrees is virtually impossible, especially if there are stones under the surface. A far simpler design would have been to have asymmetrical holes on either side of each A-frame leg, through which a pointed tent peg style stake could be driven. The product description should have made the safety element clearer. Other anomalies in the product description include: a statement that assembly is not required (it is, albeit it is straight forward), and that the product is not suitable for children under 3 years old (elsewhere it states it can be used by anyone between 3 months and 9 years).

Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit der Schaukel. Sehr günstig und trotzdem gute Qualität. Ich war anfangs sehr kritisch wegen des niedrigen Preises und habe befürchtet das die Qualität deshalb schlecht ist, aber das ist definitiv nicht der Fall. Ich finde die Schaukel auch optisch sehr ansprechend. Das blau mit orange sieht sehr schön aus und gefällt mir viel besser als das grausige grün der Kettler Schaukeln. Die Schaukel ist ein wenig kleiner als zb. Kettler Schaukeln und somit nur für Kinder geeignet. Für uns war das ein großer Vorteil, weil sie in unserem kleinen Garten nicht so viel Platz wegnimmt wie eine normal große Schaukel. Trotzdem kann auch ein großes Kind problemlos darauf schaukeln. Die Schaukel ist bis 45 kg geeigent und sogar ich kann auch problemlos und gefahrlos darauf schaukeln. Das einzige wo man ein wenig aufpassen muss ist, das die Sitzfläche ein wenig glatt ist. Ich weiß nicht wie das bei anderen Schaukeln ist. Ich hab mich mit einem glatten Rock darauf gesetzt und bin sofort runter geflutscht :-) Da muss man ein wenig aufpassen oder vielleicht einen Stoffbezug basteln. Meine Tochter schaukelt täglich problemlos und ist noch nie runter gerutscht, sie ist aber immer sehr vorsichtig. Am Spielplatz haben wir auch oft gemeinsam auf einer Schaukel geschaukelt, das sollte man auf dieser Schaukel nicht machen, weil sie nur bis 45kg ist. Aber für ein normalgewichtiges Kind völlig ausreichend und eine tolle preisgünstige Schaukel, die nicht viel Platz wegnimmt. Würde die Schaukel sofort wieder kaufen und kann sie nur weiter empfehlen.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Struttura in ferro verniciato. Discretamente stabile, su prato anche senza picchetti tiene bene ( utilizzata con bimba di 2 anni). Probabilmente con un bimbo più grande che sa andare da solo serve ancorare tutto. Io personalmente ho cambiato il seggiolino con uno "chiuso" per bambini piccoli poiché quello in dotazione è per chi sa andare da solo. Montaggio semplice con in dotazione anche le chiavi per serrare i pezzi. Spedizione ottima.

I have a very small yard off my deck and my son really loves to swing. I can't take him to the park daily so this swing here is a God send! I searched everywhere (I'm from the U.S.)and overseas is the only place I could find a single swing. The shipping took about 6 weeks and I contacted the seller numerous times and they were always helpful and reassuring. It was worth the wait and my son and I are completely satisfied!

Pues si amigos , quien no tiene un columpio es por que no tiene sitio , no por lo que cuesta este articulo. Por poco ma de 50€ podemos hacer realidad el sueño de todo niño y ponerle un columpio al crio en su propia casa. La sorpresa se la dimos a mi hija el dia de reyes al aparecer por arte de magia el columpio junto a su casita de jardin (los reyes magos que son muy majos). Como no podia ser de otra forma los tubos son metalicos , y no es muy complicado montarlo ya que vienen numerados todos los tubos. Despues de un tiempo a la intemperie alguna tuerca esta oxidandose (ya podrian pon erlas de inox) y lo unico que no me gusta es que el asiento es de plastico. Por lo demas esta genial. Saludos
