Mixed feelings
I admit that I am a chalk paint novice. I gave 3 stars because the problems could be down to my lack of experience of using this paint.I bought the paint because I needed to paint an old pine chest and a hall table and I wanted to get the job done quickly as I am getting my house ready to put on the market. I was lured in with the idea of a one coat application and all the pretty pictures of chalk painted furniture that I've seen.Pine chest: The first problem was that there was bleed through from the pine after the first coat of paint which I was not expecting. Thankfully I had some Zinsser B 1-2-3 Bulls Eye (brilliant stuff) from a previous job so I had to apply a coat of that before re-coating with the chalk paint. (I have since Googled this issue and apparently bleed through is common with pine and some other woods.) Secondly you have to work exceedingly quickly as the paint dries almost as you put it on. This let to some very annoying lumpy paint bubbles as I was brushing the paint on. Maybe watering the paintdown would have worked?. The chest looks ok-ish but there are obvious brush marks which is not what I wanted. (Yes, I tried various brushes including a "specialist" chalk paint brush.)Hall table. This had already been undercoated as it was originally painted in a dark colour. It still took 3 coats of chalk paint and the finish looks poor. I ended up sanding between coats. I don't think I will bother to wax it, it will do for now and I probably will have another attempt with possibly a different type of paint when I have more time. I am not sure whether the Annie Sloan version would be any better.I did a shabby-chic paint make-over on a cupboard many years ago before chalk paint was "trendy" using B&Q "Everywhere" paint in a satin finish. I have to say that it turned out 100% better than the chalk paint and it has been much admired. It had a very soft sheen without the need for wax on top (less elbow grease required) and sanded easily to achieve the shabby look. Sadly I don't think B&Q make this paint any more. Farrow and Ball and Little Green do various finishes so I might try those next time.To sum up: Do your research before you use this paint, practice on something you don't care about and be prepared for it being a longer job than you thought.

Easy to use
Used with a dark grey to upcycle a teak dining table. Easy to use and very thick. I would warn it drys very quick, and to apply with a roller or you get brush marks. I didn't sand back between coats which I think was a mistake.Wax was easy to apply and buffed up great. I did find that I got some of the colour of the paint on the cloth, but I think this is because the paint is water based.Paint came out the brush easily. I used a good brush that didn't leave any bristles. If using a light colour over a dark, I had to use 2 coats, but depends on what look you're going for.Highly recommend.

Get it before it's all gone!
Awesome product at a frankly unbeatable price - especially considering that you get the wax thrown in free too. For Example Homebase/B&Q sell this paint at £17.99 a tub + £9.99 for the wax, so even accounting for postage you pay £32.78 for 2 x paint + 2 times wax versus £55.96 from elsewhere...My wife does a lot of shabby chic/upcycling and has tried many many types of paint & brands, this one is her go-to default. Why?Because it goes on easy, it's not all stodgy like some chalk paint, you don't have to self mix it - unlike some chalk paint, it sands down beautifully and with the included wax you get a fantastic finish that also protects the furniture from those everyday knocks & spills.Highly highly recommended.

Nice product. Be careful of colour choice
Was ok to use. I would absolutely question the colour of Antique White. It’s cream/Ivory but definitely not what I know to be antique white as it claims. It also took 2 coats to cover despite sanding prior to starting. Despite the colour not being as I’d hoped it looks nice. Good job cream will go in the room! I will refer this back to the manufacturer too.

Lovely colour
So far we have only applied one coat to a double bed frame with foot and head board, it needs another coat, so I will review further when its finished. The colour I ordered is antique white and is a lovely colour, looks quite creamy in the tin but just off white when dry. The paint goes a long way too, and washes out of brushes easily. Not used the wax yet of course so I will return when the project is completed, but so far so good!

Paint great. Wax not so
The paint was great and covered this unit and a pine side board. But wax we couldn’t get on with. Was yellow and didn’t go on very well. Tried a brush and lint free cloth. So omitted it.
