They Work!!! Amazing!!!
I've suffered with plantar fasciitis for about 3 years now, sometimes worse than others, but for much of this time I was in considerable pain whenever I tried to walk. (And I have to walk quite a bit). I've tried the golf/tennis ball thing, anti-inflammatory drugs (which work well but not ideal, long-term) stretching, support socks, new (more comfy) shoes, never going barefoot in the house; anything and everything I could find to try to alleviate the pain. Nothing was giving me any relief and some things (certain stretching exercises) were actually making it more painful! Somebody recommended I try insoles. She couldn't remember which ones she'd tried but claimed they'd cured her! Wow! I was ready to try anything! I searched Amazon and came up with these...Good reviews, many sales, and a very reasonable price - worth a shot, surely?!When these arrived (it was a while ago now, but I don't remember them arriving late) I was sceptical that they'd work, but so fed up of hobbling around I was ready to give anything a go. They just appeared to be a couple of funny shaped pieces of hard(ish) lightweight foam. I think I had to trim them to shape at the toes (which was expected and no great problem) and slipped them into my shoes. Not gonna lie, these felt very odd....and very, very odd to walk on. Having read the reviews of others, I knew they were going to feel peculiar, but I was still surprised just how odd and uncomfortable they felt. However; I persevered, and after about 7 days, they started to get more comfortable...and, slowly, the pain of the plantar fasciitis started to fade!!!Now, I'd not thought to leave a review of these; the pain faded quite gradually until one morning I suddenly realised I was walking down stairs normally - something I've not been able to do for years now! I bought them last December (almost a year ago) and I was enjoying being pain-free but not really attributing the relief specifically to the insoles. And then, about a month ago, I badly damaged my little toe...the swelling was such that I had to wear a different pair of shoes - without my insoles, as I needed the extra toe box room. The swelling lasted about 2 weeks and within a week of wearing shoes without insoles, my plantar fasciitis pain started to return. Back to my normal shoes (with insoles) as soon as possible and the pain has again disappeared!I'm not sure if the insole shape has changed or my foot has changed; they feel so normal to me now. They look like normal insoles in the shoes and I really can't tell if they've "dropped" and maybe I need to replace them, but they're obviously still working, so I'll carry on using them! They've had almost a year of solid wear and seem to be working well still. For the price (under £10) they're fantastic value and for being pain-free I'd be willing to pay a great deal more! When they do need replacing, I'll definitely get another pair. So, ok; they look and feel really weird. They'll be uncomfortable. You'll probably think to yourself "These will never work - They're so small, and uncomfortable."You won't like them to start with.In fact, you'll probably hate them....for a short amount of time...until you love them. And then you won't be without them!!!

Comfortable and easy to use
Comfortable and easy to trim to the correct size for my shoe. Also easy to swap between different shoes. I only have this condition in my left foot so just use one. There is no issue with just using one. Would happily buy again.

Convenient and worth having
I have orthotic insoles from the doctor but cannot find any shoes that they fit in - they are truly massive wedges!!!I bought these out of desperation and they easily fit straight into my old lace up shoes. They are bendy and softer than the ones from the doctor so you have far more leeway with getting them into footwear. The fact that they are a bit cushioned also really helps me as I find the rock-hard doctor ones just make my feet hurt horribly after a short while. The downside of these is that they seem to be thicker right up near the heel end of my feet and a bit too low under the arch further towards the ball of my foot. I am not sure if this is because of the shape of the shoes I have them in or if they are simply not custom made for me and therefore don't fit my feet to perfection. All in all I would say they were most definitely a good buy, and I will buy another pair the same when these need replacing. I can spend more time on my feet with these than I can with the ones from the doctor, which says it all really.

was easy for me with scissors (I have no mobility issues ...
Getting the Size Right:Cutting the product to exact size, was easy for me with scissors (I have no mobility issues with hands) & honestly; whilst not overly excited by my initial impressions (after all it is a humble shoe insert) I have to say it did provide me with nigh on instant pain relief within 2 hours.Initial Usage:It does, as others have suggested regarding orthotics of any kind, take some getting used to- if you don't use these products regularly or are sensitive under foot etc... I think it is more than worth it for applicable foot issues and has eased a dull ache in the lower back when on my feet for hours too-so a bonus that I recommend them for, but they are not extra cushioned or bouncy; just quite firm (supportive) and with enough 'give' in them for me (male size 11 foot UK).Reminder if you think you can just put them into the shoe if it already has an insole:Yes, you should pull out any previous removable shoe insoles before inserting them, which may be somewhat obvious to most people- but perhaps only to those who have done this sort of thing before or those who pay particular attention to product details (smiling here not point scoring) because if no-your foot will sit too high in the shoe.I think it easily pays for itself, has a good price and came with a helpful leaflet about Plantar Fasciitis and foot tendon and calf issues in adults. Probably won't last too long but changing them when you can keeps things clean anyhow. Well constructed, good materials from a reliable manufacturer so no quibbles.Rates of replacement will no doubt vary on ones body weight, and how regularly and for what length of time they are used. Have a go they may help you but if you have serious foot issues-don't just get by; do consult a Medical Practitioner (Chiropodists probably the best professional) for the individually tailored advice on any orthotics you may need.As a possible negative you could ask for a touch more cushioning-but I am no expert.
