Bought this to connect a graphics/drawing tablet this requiring an HDMI connection to my PC which only has 1 HDMI port. Connected the displayport end to a free displayport socket on my PC and the HDMI end to the HDMI port on the drawing tablet. PC recognised the tablet with no problems. A friend of mine with the same issue bought a slightly cheaper adaptor, only to find it wouldn't plug into their displayport socket fully, so couldn't connect. After trying mine and it working with zero problems, I bought one of these for them too.

waste of money and time
I ordered this adapter yesterday with same-day delivery for an extra charge, as I needed it urgently. It didn't arrive on time, forcing me to wait until today. To add insult to injury, the adapter doesn't work at all! Complete waste of money and time. Extremely disappointed.

Works but not with a 3way HDMI splitter.
If you're using this directly from your output display port via a HDMI cable to your HDMI input.... it works no problem, however, if you connect it to a 3way HDMI splitter like I did the signal doesn't pass through to the monitor. This is a passive adapter. You will need an active version instead.
