A household staple at a pretty good price (compared to its RRP). I tried this after getting a trial sample a couple of years ago, it's become such a must have I always have two or three on the go so I'm never without. It's odd really as I always saw it as being some sort of posh face cream or something, but it's actually an all-rounder balm for the whole family. It comes out of the tube a very thick, luminous red/orange and clearly has a petroleum jelly base, but has a pleasant almost herbal medicinal smell. Saying that though you can't smell anything once used. I have sensory processing disorder, which essentially means 'odd' textures freak me out, including moisturisers that leaves a certain tacky feeling or won't sink in. Although it most definitely *is* a gloopy balm, it does t stay like that on the skin for long and maintains a smooth texture. Some uses: - It works on skin conditions better than any emollient or steroid I've ever used for our family of eczema and psoriasis sufferers, myself included. - Speaking of healing properties, whether nappy rash, sore underboob, chapped lips, aftersun, thigh chafing or stopping a ladder in your tights, it works! - Also a great beauty staple, whether fixing eyebrows or lips, or you want to dewy skin look, 8hr 'cream' can handle it. - Great in sensitive skin (though always do a test patch particularly on children). Honestly I should get shares for the amount I go on about it, I only wish I'd found it years ago!

I just LOOOOOVVEE this cream. As a woman in my mid 50’s, 4 years into full menopause and suffering from dry/combination skin with areas of red dry patches across my nose and cheeks from years of sun damage, this cream just hits the spot!! I’ve used so many different types of day and night creams, topical dry cortisone ointments and even had expensive homeopathic lubricants that are designed to re-hydrate my skin and remove the dry patches, but NOTHING has worked. Then I remembered this cream that I first tried in the late 90’s, which was lovely but too strong for a person skin that is still young. However the menopause has really dried my skin out on my face, hands and areas of my body and this has been the only cream that has eased the dryness and brought my skin back to life again. I do use it at night as it’s like a thickening Vaseline texture, but it’s not Vaseline. It’s clearly full of amazing ingredients that over the last month has made my skin look fresh and more youthful again. Highly rated if you are suffering dry skin, psoriasis or menopausal skin.

Absolute godsend of a product. I use this at night to put on my lips which seemed to be permanently dry and chapped, especially when I chew or pick my lip whilst stressed or thinking. This has helped keep them more supple and as such has mean less dryness which means I don’t chew or pick my lips. I also smear on my eyebrows at night to keep them nourished and in place and if I have dryness on my hands or feet, this usually helps soothe it. The cream is smooth, it is a paraffin based product so it is like Vaseline to a degree but it squeezes out of the tube nicely and has a more gel like consistency. There is a pleasant scent to it, not overly fragranced but also not quite medicinal, it sits somewhere in between. This soaks into the skin and it can feel a little more greasier than an actual cream, but I find it much more tolerable than Vaseline and as mentioned, I use mostly at night.

1st time i bought this i thought oh bit greasy not what I expected, but when I put on my face (small amount goes a long way) it really lit up my face in a glowy way, it feels like really does last on my skin, longer than a normal moisturiser, it isn't actually greasy at all, Consistency is gel like, but the absorbtion into your skin is amazing giving a lovely coverage on my face that lasts all day,a very mild fragrance to it too. I have bought twice now, as love it that much

You really can't beat legacy products. Smells lovely, feels a bit greasy until its soaked in properly but overall a brilliant product and worth every penny. Absorbs quite quickly, a gel like consistency and even gentle enough for my skin (I have contact dermatitis)

I have just received the cream and when I opened it it didn't have a aluminum sealent as usually creams do when new . Also it has a very strange smell and texture and smell of normal pertoleum vaseline redish colour . Is this normal? I have never used Elisabeth Arden products but this one doesn't impress me so far . Has anyone experienced the same .

I have been using Eight Hour Cream over many years, & it helps sooth & repair irritared skin. It is marvellous.
