50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars

These are quite simply the most beautiful paper pieced star blocks you will ever see. Although complex and time consuming, even an intermediate quilter like me could do these. The book is easy to follow too--Just copy the templates and go to town! If you've never paper pieced before, watch a few YouTube paper piecing tutorials to learn the basic skills involved. There are a few different techniques people use, so it's important to know a little before you start. Believe it not, this was my first attempt at paper piecing--Which tells you that the blocks are not difficult as the look. The only downside is that the CD included is only a tutorial and doesn't have the printable templates. However, since the patters are SO FABULOUS, I couldn't bring myself to remove a star. Don't be intimidated by these--If I can do them, so can you!

I enjoy the challenge of paper piecing. This book has 12" blocks which are large enough for even the novice to try. One block for each state all are lovely. I put the first one on the back of a sweatshirt jacket, giving it a bit of pizazz. The author suggests having the book rebound so it will work better to scan the patterns. I live in a rural area, so I just use wax paper to trace the patterns. I am looking forward to making an entire of quilt utilizing a mixture of the blocks and my scrap fabrics.

I love the patterns in this book. They are so versatile. I needed this as a refresher for paper piecing because I had not done it is awhile and this had a good amount of instructions and I was able to use this easily.

This book is full of beautiful patterns. I purchased it because I wanted to make a sampler quilt with star blocks and I was not disappointed. The paper is high quality and the patterns a easy to follow and include examples, coloring blocks, and many of the blocks form secondary pattens. However, the CD does not include the patterns. It is instead an instructional video. The printable pattern CD is sold separately. I was very let down when I realized that I could not print the patterns off my computer. I don't really see the point to buying the book and buying the CD separately. Just a reminder to read the product description carefully before you purchase something!

Awesome star paper piecing patterns for any and all occasions. Easy to follow, well thought out instructions. Yo will be sewing perfect stars in no time at all!

There was suppose to be a CD included With this book! Just have the book, I'm returning for an exchange for the book with the CD, the book has amazing stars in it but I need more instruction, 1st timer with paper piecing! fantastic book and instructions on cd received replacement quickly!!

I've had this book on my wish list for awhile. I just bought it for a birthday gift to myself. It does not disappoint. I've made 1 star so far & it's gorgeous. I appreciated the instructional DVD. I'm getting better at paper piecing but I still used it in the process of making the star to keep from getting confused.

Esse non sono invalidanti e assolutamente non danno fastidio al testo, o altro, In ogni caso sono state effetuate a matita, quindi cancellabili. Essendo presente in allegato un CD,lo stesso risulta perfetto, funzionante. Il libro in sé è interessante e contiene tutte le informazioni che cercavo, tecnica spiegata molo bene. Molto soddisfatta.

Excellent book, looks complicated but it isn't, very easy to use with some lovely star blocks. Highly recommend if you love paper piecing.

Sehr ausführliche Beschreibungen der einzelnen Sterne. Kann auch gut ohne große Englisch Kenntnisse nach vollzogen werden.
