Super simple
Really awesome product, easy to use just plug everything in and you're off. You need to install the driver but instructions are provided and again its simple just a few clicks

Cheap, Simple & Useful!
Does the job it needs to perfectly, Useful as it has 3v3 and 5v lines, therefore can use on pretty much any project! Comes up as a Generic COM on Windows/Arduino and the built in LEDS are useful for dubugging your connection!

Works well with Windows 7 64 Bit
Came with jumpers so I was able to connect to target easily. Windows detected and installed the USB to serial driver without a hitch and added COM18 to the device list. It reconnects to the same port every time I plug it into the USB port so no fishing around finding which Com port it is associated with. Done a lot of program downloads without any buffering errors. Good value for money.

Plug and play in Macbook Pro High Siera
I have been trying for 2 weeks to upload sketches to various Wemos boards, I thought I was doing something wrong until I found out there was a known issue with the drivers. I ordered this serial converter as a last chance solution, ordered it yesterday, it came today and it was recognised immediately by my 2013 Macbook Pro. I can't say if it was something I did previously but it just works, even though I can't get any other solution to work. I can't recommend this enough especially at this price. Give it a try, it may be the answer to the cp21** mac driver issue. Also DSD Tech offer 12 months warranty and LIFETIME support.

Not suitable for use with a Pine Rock64 SBC
The converter is well made and works fine but the CP2102 chip it uses only goes up to 1Mbit/s. This makes it unsuitable for use with a Pine Rock64 SBC which runs at 1.5Mbit/s. I believe the chip needed for that speed is either a CP2102N (the N is important!) or a CP2104. If like me you need the faster speed you can find a 2104-based converter here on Amazon. I haven't tried it yet but it is spec'ed to operate up to 2Mbit/s.

Great serial console for Raspberry Pi4 running Raspbian Buster
Fast delivery, great price. This is what you need to have a serial console to your Raspberry Pi4 running Raspbian (which saves you from attaching a monitor and keyboard when you can't access the RPI over SSH): 1. connect the wires to the GPIO like on the attached picture, no power necessary! USB to TTL-GND -> PI GND USB to TTL-TX -> PI RX USB to TTL-RX -> PI TX 2. enable uart in /boot/config.txt enable_uart=1 3. redirect kernel messages to serial: raspi-config > 5. Interfacing Options > P6 Serial Enable/Disable shell and kernel messages on the serial connection 4. reboot Raspberry 5. attach USB to TTL Serial Converter to your Mac (or PC) 6. download driver from silabs (usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers) 7. attach to the serial console with screen (on Mac/Linux, use putty on Windows): $ screen /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART 115200 Done, you'll see *all* boot messages and will get a login prompt once the boot of Raspbian finishes.

Works well
I had had some occasional uploading problems, when used a FTDI based converter, for Arduino Sketches. With this CPP2102 based device, I was able to upload from the Arduino IDE to devices that had no built-in USB to TTL convertor, and also to naked chips, without any issues. Be aware that this unit only has Rx and Tx signals and the supply (3.3V or 5V). This means having to fudge a reset signal.

Great little gadget
The biggest issue with this is the non automatic detection of the windows driver. So you have to download the driver your self. However, once installed it works like a charm.

Really impressed with this product. I bought this to reflash my Sonoff devices, and this worked well. I found weird experiences with the drivers that Windows 10 downloaded, so I definitely recommend getting the drivers from the manufacturer for the chipset. The included jumpers are of surprising quality for a free add-on, and were actually superior to the dupont connectors I bought from the local store.
