Fisher Bullet Space Pen - Matte Black

I bought one of these when I was about 12, visiting the Space Science Museum. Inevitably I lost it, though I remember it was the subject of envy from my little group of geeky schoolmates. Anyway, a few years on and I was looking for a good pen that would cope with the abuse of being carted around the highlands and camping, hiking, cycling, accidentally being washed, accidentally falling in ponds, accidentally being hoovered up, etc. It is a great little pen, lasts ages, writes on anything, the cap makes a comfortable length. The ONLY bugbear is no clip which you can buy for a fiver. Shrewd business tactics. Normally I would complain but instead I just marvel at their ingenuity with both pens AND business. Am I a sucker? yes. but also I am a genuinely impressed customer. My dog chewed the latest one and it has little teeth mark scars in it. the cap still fits, the ink still flows... it adds character to it. Buy one and keep it in your pocket for those times when someone searches for a pen. just be sure to get it back.

The chrome version was previously purchased and another wanted but in a different colour. Impressions are strongly in line with the claims made for it and there are few surfaces on which it cannot write and in any position, wet or dry and even across grease stains that would defy anything else. The pen is very small and almost impossible to use unless the cap is posted. It is one of a large number of 'pocket pens', most of which are fountain pens, that are currently extremely popular. There is an O-ring on the body that help protect the tip from dust and water but also adds to its leakfast properties - the double-sealed design of the refills makes that a very unlikely prospect. Small and light enough for a trouser or shirt pocket, it can also be carried in a handbag or purse. With the accessory clip attached (an optional extra), further storage possibilites are then available.

This is an excellent little pen. It writes very well. It is also comes with a gift box, so it is a perfect gift for all ages. Although it is small - about the size of a man's index finger - it's very well made. If you don't lose it, it should last for years. Never again will you have to worry about the ink drying up like in a cheap biro. Also it comes in very handy when you need to take a note where you don't have a table or something similar to lean on. When you hold a piece of paper against a wall and write on it works perfectly. As others have said, it is small so you have to be careful not to lose it.

So I bought this pen on a whim as needed one for work. I've put it through the washing machine and dryer by accident atleast twice a week for a few months, I've dropped it outside, it's snowed, rained, been run over. Thought I lost it but miraculously found it while walking. It's still in pretty much perfect condition apart from a couple nicks from the road. Great pen, will last a lifetime. Would recommend buying a clip for it as it's quite small.

I haven't had the chance to use this pen in the field, but I tested it in my waterproof notebook (like a child at christmas). At first I put a droplet of water on the paper and the pen wrote through it, then I dunked the paper in water and the pen worked. I dunked the paper for longer and the pen still worked. My 'scientific' experiments concluded this pen is fit for purpose, well worth the money! I also realised the pen is quite small, but when you write, if you put the lid on the back, the pen is very nice to use, fits nicely in the hand.

The pen came in a nice plastic case, nothing too fancy, but still looked nice. It is significantly smaller than I thought it would be, and I'm not going to lie, that scared me at first. Yet the pen is very easy to use and feels great. If you are looking for a nice pen, I doubt you're going to find much better for the same price.

A design classic still selling 50+ years after it was launched. This is a really compact pen - I have one in my wallet - with a very simple design. I haven't tried it in space but it certainly does write on a variety of surfaces. Possibly not long enough to use comfortably for long periods (unless your hands are, er, presidential). There is an optional clip available. Also available in other colours.

Not the best, had one of these pens before and loved it, however this one didn't write properly, issue with the ink cartridge, I had bought a spare one which I tried in it and that worked fine, had requested the refund to get a new cartridge, but was told to send the whole thing back, which is what I did, as not the cheapest pen in the world and I would have expected it to work great, it just didn't.... Have now bought another pen, but from a different supplier, mainly as I found it cheaper.

Fantastic product with high quality control and a beautiful fit and finish. A+ build quality with an amazing history. Next time someone tells you the Russians used pencils and we spent millions to develop this...tell them the pencil lead dust contaminated the air quality and air filters while our boys stayed healthy and safe! This pen won't cost you a million dollars and will bring a smile with every use. Writes well and has a sharp distinguished look. Easy to use and easier to justify purchasing, pick it up today!

Je possède déjà un stylo identique. On me l'a offert pour mon anniversaire il y a plus de 5 ans. Je l'utilise souvent, je l'adore, petit, compact, très agréable, l'écriture glisse toute seule. Une valeur sûre! J'ai acheté ce stylo pour faire un cadeau à mon ami Jim, un gars en or, l'une des personnes les plus gentil que je connaisse. Ce stylo me semble parfait pour offrir.
