Easy to use
Truly tasty and easy to use - I researched it first and expected it to be great and it was. Lovely flavour, not too strong and not chili hot. Felt more like Malaysian food than Chinese and then I found it was invented in Malaysia!!

Authentic taste
Very quick delivery, I would not say it’s barbecue sauce, as it says Sha cha sauce on the can. I used it to make sauce for noodle soup, Nice taste.

Nothing like bbq sauce it’s gone straight in the bin
Gone straight into the bin it smelt like fish and tasted like fish to not bbq sauce

Ingredienti: 65% soybean oil, dried lizard fish, garlic, shallots, sesame, chili powder, coconut powder, ginger, salt, pepper. Come salsa barbecue, non sono molto contento del sapore...bleh!

Fantastic flavor if used for the right food
Great flavor if used for what it's meant. This is not a normal type of bbq sauce. I really wouldn't even call it bbq sauce. Might be a misinterpretation on the manufacturers part. I made Sha Cha Chicken (one of the main uses) with this, and it was excellent!

Delicious and affordable. Reminds me of Chinese cuisine like bbq and marinated porkchops. Super love this.

正直、最初は使い方が分からず持て余しました。 でも使い方のコツが分かると、一気に万能調味料になります。 沙茶醤は「味付けのメイン」ではなく、旨味を足すペーストと考えると使いやすいです。 ■ 失敗しない使い方 ・加熱しすぎない（香りが飛びます） ・小さじ1から試す ・塩や醤油を少し減らして使う ■ 実際に美味しかった使い方 ① 焼きうどん → 仕上げに小さじ1混ぜるだけでお店の味 ② チャーハン → 塩の代わりに少量入れるとコクが出る ③ しゃぶしゃぶダレ → 沙茶醤＋ポン酢で驚くほど旨い ④ マヨネーズに混ぜて温野菜 → 一気にデパ地下風 ⑤坦々麺 →本格中華へ ⑥エビクリームパスタ →エビ×海老で濃厚さ爆発 ポイントは、“最後に加える”こと。 炒め油の代わりに最初から入れると香りが弱くなります。 「何に使うの？」と迷っている方は、まずは焼きうどんかチャーハンがおすすめです。 クセはありますが、使い方が分かると手放せなくなります。 リピート決定です。

Great for hotpots
I used to live in Taiwan and this was a staple for hotpot’s and stir frys. I live in a small town and while the closest Asian store is only 1 town away, it is not always stocked so I was really pleased to find it on Amazon. It elevates hot pot meals as a dipping sauce. It’s also great as a stir fry sauce. It is a little expensive for the amount though.
