Jagwire Inner Road or Mountain Bike Gear Cable 1.2mm 2300mm Bike Part

My thoughts on the Jaqwire gear cable:- Exactly what I needed for the Shimano Deore SLX system on my mountain bike.- At 1.2mm they are thinner compared to your 'bog-standard' gear cable. Check your bike specifications for what you require.- They are easily installed but make sure you have a good set of cable cutters, pliers and the right allen keys. If in doubt refer to the one known as 'Google'.- Also another helpful tip is to lubricate with oil/wd40 before inserting into the outer cables. It helps keep things running smoothly and protects the cable further.- These do not come with cable end caps, so you will have to purchase them separately.- Finally I cannot comment on the durability of the product as its so subjective. That's down to how many miles you ride and how you treat your bike. Nonetheless at this cheap price it would be rude not to have a few sets.

It may not be original, but it's made of good materials, the head doesn't come off the wire like some other low quality copies do, and after months of staying outside in the cold, wet weather, it still hasn't rusted or frayed and shouldn't if used properly.As a bad condition, i store my bike outside and it can take a lot of beating from the weather, but this wire hasn't had any issues. All it needs is a little bit of lubricant or water displacer when inserting to keep it working smooth and prevent water from getting to it.I used this for my dropper post and it works flawlessly. Easy and quick installation and a smooth, easy to press lever!

Haven't used this yet but will be doing so in the next 10 days, but it looks good.

Great cheap purchase bought to keep as a quick emergency spare.Fitted one to the rear Sora derailleur on my road bike to replace a fraying old cable and its been fine.Fitting was exceptionally easy and the cable slipped thru the outer housing really painlessly and easy.Snipped it to length easy and fitted an additional cable end to keep it all tidy and its been great all gears now work as fine as they did before.Barely needed adjusting after a few 1000 mile so far which is really good as it means the cable is not stretching in use.I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these should my needs occur

These are galvanised steel cables, definitely not stainless steel - strongly magnetic compared to known stainless steel cables.otherwise, easy to fit, gear shift seems fine and OK value.

It was easy and smooth to replace the broken cable.Nice quality cable. I think it will last for a while.
