I adore this stapler. It does exactly as described. It holds up to 5 pages and is easy to hold. Also because it's stapleless it means you never have to buy anything to use it with. 10/10

Really effective item. Clearly not going to be as strong a join as with a metal staple but does an excellent job. Good quality of manufacture and no need to search for replacement staples.

Really impressed

This is an excellent stapler as it is easy to use, doesn't require constant refilling and is very environmentally friendly plus economical. However, it can only staple 5 pages at a time which is fine for my use case but the larger version can only do 10 pages. In other words, this is to be used for small documents not really suitable for office applications. In terms of use, you must press down firmly and quickly in order to get a nice clean cut without tearing and the paper must be placed all way to the back of the guide. Although its binding strength is comparable to that of a standard staple as the paper will always tear before the staple comes out. Overall, this is a great product for light pieces of work and is an amazing feat of Japanese engineering.

I have used a 'staple-less' stapler for several decades. They are so much nicer than having a file full of little metal staples. Only real wear and tear eventually rendered my faithful friend inoperable and I had to replace it. The Harinacs Compact Alpha device doesn't do the job in exactly the same way, but the end effect is equally efficient and pleasing. The high quality of manufacture is obvious. A good purchase and a prompt delivery.

First and foremost I want to make it clear that this product is the best of a very; very bad bunch.Stapleless staplers are important in the food industry where metal staples cannot be used for safety reasons. Unfortunately, the only products available seem to be no more than plastic novelties. This is the third time I’ve had to buy one of these, I use one every day in fairly high volume and I accept that a certain degree of wear and tear is inevitable, but after only a few weeks it jams, it chews up the paper, and it does not work as intended; and that’s only on two pieces of paper, I dread to think how it would fare against the five pieces that the packaging boasts that it is capable of handling. If you do need one, as I do, I recommend clearing any loose paper out of it the moment a jam occurs, because that will only get worse if ignored, and possibly investing in some WD40 or food-safe equivalent, because it is insufficiently lubricated for proper use. An air duster would probably be a good idea as well, as the little clear cover that can be opened is woefully inadequate for actually clearing the inevitable paper dust out of it. In conclusion, only if you absolutely have to. And just get the cheapest colour.
