BT Video Baby Monitor 5000

Brilliant bit of kit, took ages to decide which monitor to buy. Finally decided on the 3000 and it’s absolutely perfect for anyone’s needs, other models offer a bigger screen but honestly you don’t need it you’ll gain nothing out of having a biggest screen what so ever. Battery life is good if you turn the brightness down slightly and you can hear a pin drop through the speaker. Night vision works perfectly and the range is great, we have an outside bar which is in the back garden it’s right next to the house but still a separate building and the is no connection issuers what’s so ever. Set up is and absolute doddle also, I’ve said it already but don’t waste money on a bigger screen there is absolutely no needs. In all a really good product, but it’s you won’t be disappointed

Having previously owned the 6000, we opted for this as a replacement due to the cost of the former. I was worried about the smaller screen but it is more than enough for checking on baby.The functions are the same and great for the price, including remote pan and tilt, and ability to sleep the screen until sound is picked up. This saves battery life and draws your attention when baby needs it.We hooked up a second camera to the parent unit for both children. Note, you can only get a second camera through purchasing a whole other kit which is a downfall of this. Luckily we had our previous one. Picture quality is good, not completely clear enough to make out distinct detail from distance but that doesn’t hinder. Overall, a good kit for a good price.

Really pleased with this camera so far. Have finally switched to bt after getting through 3 Motorola video monitors in the last 2 and a half years. They're terrible! Work perfectly for 6 months or so and then just pack up for no reason. Will never purchase Motorola again.Back to this product... nice, simple little monitor. Does everything I need it to and although the screen is a bit smaller than what we've had before it doesn't hinder it at all and the image is actually clearer. Sound is really good too. Really well priced compared to some other brands.Only thing that could be imroved are the lullabies, they're not paticularly calming but not a deal breaker for us.

Positives-temperature monitor-plays a range of different songs-colour screen (day) and night vision (black & white)-Has talk back option so you can speak to the baby-1 year warranty-plugs into wall to re-charge but has battery so it doesn't always need to be plugged in-Can be set so screen turns off if there is no sound to save on battery (the screen turns back on if your baby makes any noise so even if you have the sound muted you can see if you baby starts making noise)-Display can apparently be linked to more than 1 monitor (though I haven't tried this)Negatives-Battery life could be longer (I think its somewhere between 6 and 12 hours).-When zooming in the image becomes blurry and you can't enlarge very much (2x I believe)We've had this baby monitor for several months but then the on/off switch became a bit stuck on the video monitor. I called BT in the morning and they said it was covered under warranty (1 year warranty) . I then contacted Amazon who sent me a replacement which arrived that evening! Amazing customer service by Amazon & BT!

Having used and returned two Motorola video monitors, I can firmly say the BT monitor is much better! Range is no problem in our 3 bed terrace, even in the garden. The screen is a bit small and the resolution isn't great, but your checking baby, not watching Avengers!The main positive is the battery life and screen refresh. Our Motorola would have to be pretty much constantly be on charge, where as this will last the 5 hours we need in the evening easily and not use half the battery. And the camera refreshes well meaning you can pan and tilt easily, the Motorola was very jumpy. Also it means you have a better idea of babies movements. The refresh isn't perfect, but it's more than capable for the task at hand.A few other points. Both cables are nice and long, the controls are well thought out and simple to use, it's easy to wall mount on 2 nails/screws, the pan function is excellent, there are good volume controls and indicators, and most importantly it is a reliable monitor that has never let us down. The tilt is a bit limited so mount it fairly high and this shouldn't be an issue. But, this is by far the best monitor I've used for the £100ish price point.

Great item for the price. Picture is perfectly good enough to see baby and the camera picks up the sound really well. The system works well around a 3 storey house, from the top floor to the bottom and visa versa with no problems at all.I would definitely recommend this item if you want a simple to use baby monitor.

Really pleased with this monitor, I think the picture quality is very good in comparison to others I have had. However, I do feel that the sound quality on others are better it doesn’t pick up all sounds in the room but does pick up the baby sounds. Sometimes seems to be a slight delay u can hear the baby crying/moving before they move on the monitor

At first I thought this was a great purchase.A couple of months in and it won’t stay charged for more than 3 hours.Now through the night it just beeps loudly and then turns itself off.In theory this is a great product - great camera. Great sound. Motion/ sound sensors work well.In practise it’s not fit for purpose. It’s a monitor that doesn’t monitor my baby because it turns itself off.If I leave it plugged in then the screen stays on constantly. If I unplug it, it has little to no battery life. I’m going to have to buy a different one. This has been a waste of money.
