Used to make the air vents (numerous) on my static van, insect proof. Worked a treat.

UPDATE: Had no insects or bugs get in at all! So good in fact, there would sometimes be tiny ngats, midges, moths etc. In the gap between the closed window and the mesh waiting to get out in the morning after being trapped in at night. I bought a cheap store net so I could use the magnets on there to attach to this netting for the door (I could not find the magnets on their own). Highly reccomend. ORIGINAL: I've knocked off a star because the product images are misleading. The holes are not square (as shown in my images), which actually make the product more desirable because it does in fact meet the requirements for midge/gnat proofing. I'll update my review in Summer if any get through but otherwise presume it works! I used extremely blunt scissors to cut it so it frayed abit but nothing major. I can imagine with proper tools this would not happen. The product also had no smell so doesn't need airing out or washing before use. The holes are tiny, around fingernail thickness. It does make looking outside from inside slightly blurred. It does also darken the room slightly and (obviously) restricts some air flow but a good breeze can still get in. You can't see the inside from the outside unless up close to the window too so some surprising privacy, saves buying tint! I used an industrial fan blowing at it and it didn't break or come undone (I used magnetic tape) when sealed all the way around the window. I plan on buying more for my double doors, but I will probably use velcro for the top and sew the mesh onto it to accomodate the foot traffic, otherwise magnetic tape works just fine. This mesh also appears hardy enough for screen doors. Overall the product is great, and worth the money. I've been unable to find mesh that has holes this small that doesn't cost a fortune. The other cheaper meshes out there are great for general use, but will not keep out smaller insects and bugs like this one does. So it comes down to what you need it for. If you need the ultra fine mesh, this is great value and quality. Just wish the seller used an accurate image of their product.

In summer we like our windows open at night. With some blue tack we put this up inside the window frame. You hardly notice it there but it keeps all the insects out. Of course during the day it does the same job for flies. Sometimes we roll it up, which it does easily and it comes down again without creases or folds. We are very happy with it and it was a cheap way to solve a most annoying issue.

Excellent - good product

Great mesh, but be aware! Unlike the comment in the spec, the one I received is *NOT* "anti-flame" as described. Did a test on a small cut off section of the corner with a match and it burned rapidly with a white flame! This is very unlikely fiberglass, or it has a coating which is not fire proof! Other than that it is good enough for use in a greenhouse window, or a shed vent to keep insects off plants.
