I have bought some more expensive socks of a similar nature in the past and decided to see what would happen if I tried to save some money. As such, I opted to buy these to keep my feet warm through a couple of months of camping and festivals. In terms of keeping your feet warm, they are definitely good at that job. They are also comfortable when wearing wellies (which is an impressive feat!). The one problem is that after a few weeks of use use they stopped stretching and maintaining shape properly far sooner than in similar socks I have purchased in the past. At their price, however, it's still cheaper to buy these twice than the more expensive ones once. As such, I will likely buy some more of these for the next year's camping and festivals.

You don't get decent socks like this at a reasonable price for women, so I now buy mens socks and these are just what I needed. Good price, nice and thick and warm and no silly patterns. You only seem to be able to get overpriced, patterned socks for women that only just cover the ankle. What use are they? I will definitely get more.

Seem to be a quality sock. Thick and warm. They are also long and stay held up.

Bought these as I wanted a comfortable 'winter sock' that would be ideal for a high top boot. These socks fit the bill perfectly. They're a reasonably thick wool so are quite warm... and they have a thicker wool base just for the sole so they're very cushioned even with the most basic of insoles. And they're long so they come up just below the knee for me (I'm a 31" inside leg). They have come up a tiny bit long in the foot for me but it's close enough for jazz and doesn't take away from the overall comfort. Recommended.

Arrived before expected which was a bonus considering the Christmas post. These socks are longer than the normal long length mens socks and come right up to the knee. They are thick and soft and the padded sole make them a good choice for wearing inside boots and for any walking sports. Keep your feet very warm. One of the socks had faulty elastic at the top and had to be mended after washing, hence four rather than five stars.
