3M Respirator Half Mask Lightweight Blu

I look a bit like Darth Vadar and scare the kids , but who cares this does the job. Wearing glasses I find that a lot of masks steam them up due to exhaled breath escaping upwards onto the lenses. A nuisance and often dangerous as many tasks require good clear vision. The exhale , one way escape valve solves this very real problem. I have now used it for several tasks generating dust and microbes e.g. sanding plasterwork and strimming grass. The 3M mask protected my nose and mouth preventing anything entering my breathing system. As an acute Hay Fever sufferer many garden tasks were a problem inducing streaming eyes, streaming nose and persistent cough. Since getting the mask I have cut and strimmed grass, power cut a hedge and so far no symptoms . After a few adjustments it fastened securely with 2 straps ; the rubber seal is snug , but not painful , it does not constrict breathing and most of all it filters all the bad stuff. Can't believe the low cost for such a quality protection. PS having used it for a few weeks the elastic bindings constantly slip from the buckles so have had to tie knots to secure them. Not a big problem more a nuisance

i bought this mask last week: i'm surprised at how efficient - and surprisingly comfortable - it is. i'm wearing it in dusty situations, and it seems to work really well. if you're a claustrophobe you might find it a little disturbing to start with - but you soon get used to it, once you've found you can actually breathe! a tip for spectacles wearers: put the mask on first, then your specs, otherwise you can get the lenses marked as you pull the mask onto your face. update: it's a really good mask - i've been using it to filter dust from cat litter - but after a while it gets harder and harder to breathe through it: presumably it's become clogged, though you can't tell that from looking at it. as i've only had it a month or two, this makes it quite an expensive mask. however, it certainly does the job. second update: this will be my fourth buy, to date. i find the masks last at least a year, if you give them a once-over with a vacuum cleaner nozzle from time to time. excellent for keeping out dust from cat litter, if you're asthmatic. the fit round the nose is very good. third update: i've now had five of theses masks. my only criticism of them is that the filters are non-replaceable. otherwise, they're good quality, comfortable and seal well - and keep out dust.

Really great product. I got fed up with having a sore throat and nose from dust etc when wood working and restoration jobs so decided to get a decent mask. Does a great job with dust exclusion and also keeps out the majority of fumes, you still get a sight wiff but its OK. Fits snugly around nose and mouth. Straps very securely around head and is very comfortable overall! I wouldn't even notice I was wearing it... Except for one thing... If you wear the mask for any length of time, your breath starts to condense inside it and you get a drip of water at the end of your nose! And I don't know about you, but a drip at the end of my nose is impossible to ignore, so I have to take it off and sort it out! So this is a bit of an annoying flaw, but unless you want to fork out for a sophisticated respirator, you will just have to live with it! Makes you realise how crappy and useless disposable masks are! Overall a very good mask for the price!

After struggling for months with those basic paper masks while stripping wallpaper, sanding walls, furniture, cutton wood floorboards, fitting loft insulation and various other messy DIY tasks, we often felt like we were going to die from some horrible disease from inhaling all that rubbish. So before we went ahead with sanding our wood floors I thought it would be sensible to try something better. I was sceptical that these would be any good given the price. I was wrong, they're amazing! After creating huge piles of dust that we are still finding in nooks and crannies, we had no respiratory problems at the end of the day - unlike with all the other tasks. These masks are comfortable, easy to put on and feel secure. I am a little claustrophobic and usually hate masks, but these felt very roomy and I could wear it for a long time without feeling the need to take it off. The weirdest thing was that I felt it was so much easier to breathe wearing this than under normal circumstances. I suffer from allergies, but when I put this on I felt like I could breathe properly for the first time in my life. It is hard to explain, but the air usually feels full of dust and fibres and all manner of things that make my throat scratchy and my nose run. I am looking forward to a post-apocalyptic society where these masks can be worn as a genuine fashion choice. Until then I will find more DIY tasks to do to give me an excuse to wear it and breathe clean air at last.

3M reusable half mask arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. Product exactly as described. Got this mask to help me clearing out a very dusty and dirty house in preparation for a refurbishment. Thought I would try out something other than cheap disposable ones and settled on these due to price and the good reviews they have received. The mask is made from soft rubber and hugs my face really well. What you cant see from the photo is the way the rubber folds where it contacts your face to achieve a good seal and make the mask comfortable to wear over longer periods, although you will know you have being wearing the mask after you remove it. The elastic restraints and the way they are fixed to the mask look really cheap but they do their job well without any issues. While wearing the mask I found it very easy to breath and found no trace of any unpleasant smell. I am also just about able to wear a pair of Bolle Safety Googles at the same time as wearing this mask which is handy. As you cannot replace the filters I would recommend you get the Overspray guard pack to use with the mask to prolong its life Overall I am very happy with this mask and I have no hesitation recommending it to others.

I had to use some particularly high solvent content aerosol spray paint and varnishes on a DIY project. The usual good quality dust masks were no match for the paint fumes, even in my very well ventilated workshop shed, so after reading earlier reviews of masks I opted to buy this one. I went for the disposable mask as this was a one off project (using high solvent content paint) that I didn't expect to repeat and the product spec said the mask was good for a month. The mask is constructed of soft rubber like material which creates a perfect airtight seal around your nose and mouth. The mask is held firmly in place by an adjustable harness that fits over the top of your head and is supported by a further elasticated/adjustable neck strap. I know that 3M product are usually good but even so I was absolutely amazed at how effective this mask was in filtering out the solvent fumes. I used up about 8 cans over a fortnight and was hand spraying so was up really close to lots of very nasty fumes. It removed all traces of the fumes and still allowed me to breathe with ease. I really cannot recommend this more highly based on my experience.

Was very confused and unsure which mask to order as there are plenty of options available on Amazon (which is a good thing!). I needed a mask I can wear comfortably whilst sanding different projects (mainly wood based). I opted for a 3m mask as other 3M products I've used in the past have always been good quality and up to the task I've needed them for. This mask did not disappoint, its very well customisable to ensure a smug fit, and suprisingly comfortable whilst in use. I suffer with asthma and was very suprised to find I could breathe very easily with this mask on, whilst having a smug and tight fit to maintain protection. I was also dubious as this mask does not have replaceable filters - once used up (in other words breathing is degraded or no longer easy to breathe through) you simply dispose of thr mask and order a new one. Having used the mask, I can see this lasting a whole and I recommend it to others. Hope this helps, will amend this review once I've had chance to use the mask more often/regularly.

Absolutely excellent product, exactly what you'd expect from 3M. It was perhaps a little pricier than some of the other masks I looked at, but you get what you pay for. I was using this whilst painting an interior wall with an extremely noxious alkaline resistant primer - the stuff really smells as it is solvent based. This mask completely and utterly eliminated the smell and adverse effects of breathing in solvents for hours on end. It forms a perfect seal on the face and you don't get a trace of the smell or fumes. It actually lulled me into a false sense of security as I tried to take it off and was overwhelmed with the smell - quickly put it back on and it was gone again immediately. Sure it's a little uncomfortable, a bit of a pain for those of us that wear glasses and leaves red marks your face for an hour or so after, but ultimately it's totally worth it, I'll never go back to using the flimsy and useless paper masks again. It also has the massive benefit over them of being reusable numerous times. Easily a 5 star product. Buy in confidence.

Usato per alcuni giorni per sverniciate e verniciare in ambito domestico. Lo consiglio, molto comodo ed ergonomico, si respira bene. Molto spesso per risparmiare cinsi affida a maccherone base da qualche euro ma che non proteggono da esalazioni nocive. Spero duri parecchio

Contento con la compra. La he probado 8 horas, en un espacio cerrado con soldadura de electrodos y con la maquina de disco de metal (radial). Durante todo el tiempo que la llevé puesta no sentí el olor a humo de ninguna de ellas. También la he probado utilizando acetona para limpiar y con sprays de pintura y, tampoco sentirás el olor de ningún químico. La ventaja que tiene esta máscara es que se acopla desde 4 puntos; 2 superiores y 2 inferiores. Los de abajo llevan un enganche rápido, lo que permite liberar la máscara de manera muy fácil sin hacer mucho esfuerzo. Si no te la quieres quitar del todo cuando necesites hablar, deja sujeto el enganche de abajo que bordea detrás de el cuello; y el de arriba lo desplazas hacia delante, la mascará basculará hacia adelante y se quedará colgada del cuello como un colgante. Una recomendación: antes de usarla, yo, le limpio el interior y los bordes que van a estar en contacto con la cara con unas toallitas para bebé. Avec ce produit, j'ai enfin trouvé le masque idéal pour mon usage ! Je l'utilise pour des travaux de menuiserie (amateur) en particulier pour le ponçage et les coupes dans certains matériaux ainsi que pour les travaux de type vernissage ou peinture. Le masque n'occasionne pas de gène: il se fixe fermement mais sans serrer ou comprimer outre mesure, il ne blessa pas le nez, bref il se ferait (presque) oublier! On respire très bien, pas de sensation d'étouffement ou d'oppression. Enfin, l'air sortant par le devant, il ne fait pas de buée sur les lunettes de vue ou de protection, ce qui est un gros plus. Je sens une énorme différence entre ce masque une protection ultra-légère genre "nez de cochon": rien à voir! Pour mon usage, c'est un excellent produit auquel je n'ai strictement rien à reprocher !

Ich nutze die Maske für einige Projekte mit PlastiDip. Wenn wir in der Halle sprühen, dann wirbelt das viel Sprühnebel auf. Und die Gesundheit sollte bei allen Basteleien niemals zu kurz kommen!! Die Maske sitzt perfekt. Ich habe einen recht kleinen Kopf (Helmgröße S) doch dank der verstellbaren Kopfstütze ist die Maske wirklich für jeden Kopf geeignet. Einmal aufgesetzt und durchgeatmet will man sie nicht mehr absetzen. Sie fühlt sich hochwertig an und drückt in keiner Weise auf Nase oder Wangen. Auch mein Kumpel ( Brillenträger ) hat keine Probleme mit dieser Maske mehrere Sunden zu arbeiten. Es bildet sich kein Wasser in der Maske und ein angenehmes Atmen ist durch die Ventile gewährleistet. Ich kann die Maske wirklich klar empfehlen.

Aun no la he probado trabajando, pero la impresión inicial es muy buena, muy ajustable, no molesta en la cara, acopla de manera estanca, y el agarre elástico al cuello, o a la cabeza, ajusta sea cual sea tu talla. Sé que no voy a tener recambio de filtros, pero por su precio, teniendo en cuenta que es la herramienta que te salva los pulmones (la vida), cuándo tenga que cambiar estoy seguro que buscaré la misma.
