would the 4000 fit in the rod seat of a Ugly stik GX2 6' ?

I have a Penn Battle 4000 and an Ugly Stik GX2 but mine is the 7'6" version. I have just tried it and they fit together no problem, I don't think there would be any difference in the real fittings between the 6' & 7'6" rods..? Hope this helps... Phil.

Is the 2500 suitable for course float fishing

Depending on what type of line, line capacity and breaking strain you want to use for float fishing I would say it should be fine. I have the 3000 which I use with 8lb flourocarbon line for fishing for trout with worm or maggots and it’s excellent for that. The build quality is excellent and it’s a very robust and sturdy reel.

Would this reel work ok with a 13ft 4-8oz beach caster? Everything suggests a 7/8000 but really like the size of the 6000 better on the rod.
