Plantronics Explorer 10 Bluetooth Headset

For the money this is an amazing piece of technology. Worked perfectly straight out of the box - pairing it with my Samsung J5 was a cinch. The sound is clear and unambiguous; The operating life of the battery is excellent (it claims up to nine hours on a full charge - I don't use it all the time but seems in 'real life' more than adequate for my use) and, almost as important, it fits comfortably and reasonably securely on (over?) my ear (unlike the Jabra unit I had previously, which was also excellent but seemed to dangle precariously and frustratingly off my ear...) Recommended.

This headset pairs with my iPhone 6 very easily, and the phone remembers the headset. The controls are very simple to work too. There's a voice that tells you the battery level when you turn the headset on (measured in how much talk time you've got), and the headset icon on the iPhone also gives you a battery meter. I used the previous version of this headset for 6 months, until I lost it, and it was great. This seems even better, more fully featured and cheaper too. I definitely recommend this to you.

I ordered this headset mainly for using the mobile phone while driving. Pairing this headset to my Sony Z3 was simple. It was just turn on headset, turn on Bluetooth on the phone and pairing happened. The quality is good, comfort is better than I expected and the sound is good also. The only indication of headset battery life is with the headset in ear, turn on headset and a voice speaks and tells you the charge time in hours. After a full charge from a USB port from my laptop, the voice tells me there is 11 hours of charge. I sometimes work from home and using a laptop with a softphone installed (Cisco Jabber). I have been using the laptop's speakers and mic for calls but I thought if the headset would pair to my laptop as well then that would be handy. The headset's instructions failed here so I used Plantronics website to pair to my laptop. 2 x devices can be paired, the voice in ear tells you when phone 1 or phone 2 is paired (in my case phone 2 is actually my laptop). Holding down the call on/off button on the headset for 6 seconds sent a Bluetooth signal to my laptop, then opening Bluetooth icon from laptop system tray (show Bluetooth devices) which listed the headset as PLT_10. Pairing complete. Works good and I can walk from my desk to the kitchen which is about 25 feet and signal is still perfect.

Seems to have a long charge time (i'm a london cabbie). Very clear, although I would prefer it to be louder at it's highest level, although the health and safety brigade have stopped this in most audio headsets. It took me time to get used to the earpiece, but it's pretty comfortable when you get used to putting it on. I charge mine with my iPod charger rather than on the computer. This is easily as good as I expected it to be, but since I haven't used it for music, only for the phone, I can't comment on that. Can't actually see how I could knock a star off, really. Overall, a good product that only cost about 15 quid.

Brilliant little earpiece. Very comfortable in my ear and the plastic hook over the ear is very robust. It has been dropped and squashed and has lasted the distance. The sound quality is great and I use this all the time now for most of my calls as its just so much easier. It paired up to my iphone 6 very easily. Recommend this very highly and for the price it's brilliant.

I should have stuck with the M70 which I’ve had twice before (keep leaving them in my jeans to be washed). Unlike the M70 the ear curve is not removeable, it holds the ear piece in position near the ear but not it in. The earpiece is shaped rather than round so has to sit at a particular angle. I found it difficult to position, and haven’t found a way to stop and start the books I listen to.

I like it. It's very comfy on the ears, truth is when i wear this earpiece i always forget i have it on my ears cos it's that comfortable. It's very efficient too, it will tell you how many hours are left of charge whenever you put it on your ear and when the battery is low. It connects to my two phones and receives calls on both so i can switch to either. The ear hook is also handy cos it works either way, on left and right ear. Nicely made. Sometimes i wear it without the hook hooked unto my ear but you definitely get 100% assurance that it won't fall off when you use the hook. It's very clear too and lasts 11hrs when charged. I will recommend this product, it's good. It doesn't give you any kind of heaviness or headaches or eardrum discomfort like some do to me. This one is very light, you won't even know you are wearing it until maybe you touch your ear or look yourself in the mirror lol. I've had it since 4th Dec 2017 and this is May now that i am reviewing so that's a good time to review it. 5months 4days.

Over the years I have spent an absolute fortune on headsets none of which have really lived up to expectations. Having now just moved from motorbike to Car it was a must to have hands free so I decided start low then work y way up if needed. Absolutely no need to go any further it works great for me. Have it set up to sat nav music etc and all works good. People say they can't tell I'm in the car. I had a bit of a problem with sound but then I just turned it up to full on the headset and my sat nav or phone and that was it sorted. Great price great item.
