Fit good, they are thinner but much better than having only one that was about to rust in half! Satisfied

4 stars just because although they fit my 2000 Ford Ranger tailgate, they are thin, almost 1/2 the diameter of the originals so I don't know how long they'll last. Of the thick originals, one lasted for 25 years, the other 24, so these are probably going to be fine despite being thinner.

Fit perfectly and look just like the originals. I ordered these but the day before they arrived one of the originals ( 2002 Ford Ranger ) broke. Installation was straight forward, with a simple and methodical approach. There is a washer between tailgate and mounting bolt which can slide out of place. Bolt head is a torx head either 40 or 45.

My original tailgate cables did not have anything protecting them from corrosion... they failed. These replacements are sealed, which keeps moisture and salt from reaching the steel cables. A fantastic part well worth my money

Sure they were easy to install on my 2000 Ford Ranger. But credit Ford for that. They designed it. So far it is durable and meets expectations.
