I tried these from a discount store 2 years ago and found them here on Amazon during the holidays...they were very minimally broken as there is a cardboard fitting now, and there is a plastic wrapper around the tin for security. These are almost as good as a cookie shop in Little Italy, NYC. I wish they sold the plain ones in bulk as they are good as biscotti in the morning! Try not to eat them up too quickly!

Broken cookies( over half of them) as if the tin had been thrown around. Salvaged the unbroken ones for coffee time and used the crushed up ones for a pie crust as I am resourceful. Will not buy again. Taste was fine.

I have had this brand of cookies before from World Market and really liked them so I thought I would try another variety from Amazon. There was a variety but all the cookies were just thrown into the tin. They were very small and many were broken. Most of them were also quite dry which I wasn't expecting with this brand.

I was thinking of getting butter cookies for the holidays. So, instead of buying the traditional, "blue tin" I thought I'd try something new. First impression is the outside. The tin looked pretty and the images of the cookies on it were appealing. Opened the tin upon arrival... no nicely packaged sections. All of the cookies are just jumbled together. Most of them are broken to some extent. Taste - meh. Very dry (and I know shortbread are not a moist cookie) but like, "you-need-tea or coffee" DRY. The chocolate ones are weak in flavor. Nothing spectacular about this selection. I was disappointed. I mean a cookie is a cookie, so, yes they got eaten. Will we buy these again? Absolutely not.

Very nice flavor and texture of cookies. Well worth the price. I'm giving one star less because they're not the BEST cookies I've every tasted. However, they make a very reasonably-priced but good quality gift.

These cookies are delicious. Fresh, crispy, flavorful.Since Amazon didn't have the European cookies I usually buy, I decided to try these. I'm so glad I did.They come loosely put in a tin, but they weren't broken.The variety is good and the taste is not overly sweet.There are quite a few so the cost is reasonable, especially since the quality is so good.I'll be buying these again.

I purchased this cookie sampler because it was from Italy. My husband is Italian and we used to visit his family often. Italian products are great, so when I saw this cookie tin, I thought I'd get it for the holidays. I expected this to be like the Danish butter cookies, each variety in it's own paper liner and in two layers - the tin is deep. Instead, the tin is lined in corrugated cardboard (the type for pastries and cookies), but all of the cookies are just thrown in there. When I opened the nice tin, there was a parchment round and then a cardboard round beneath it. I lifted it up and inside was a mess of crumbs and cookies. Every cookie was covered in crumbs. There were some pretty cookies in there, but they didn't look pretty because of the mess. I had to clean it up and I tried to organize the cookies, but in the end, I feel that I wasted my money. The cookies didn't even taste that good. I could have purchased the Danish butter cookies, paid much less and enjoyed them much more. I wouldn't buy these cookies again.
