i like the fact that it is rechargeable. my only complaint is that the instructions are impossible to read without a magnifying glass!

This multimeter has plenty of useful features. The default auto select mode when you first power it on is odd at first. It tries to guess what you want to measure between AC or DC voltage, resistance, or continuity. It does make intelligent choices based on the input from the test leads. I am accustomed to selecting the function I want to use with a mechanical switch. You can select your desired function by touching one or more of the four touch buttons below the screen. Power on requires a long 5 second touch on the power button. A shorter 2 second touch will power it off. It is easy to read indoors and in low light conditions. It is harder to read in direct sunlight. I have not run the battery down yet, although I have used it for several hours.

Only used for testing battery strength and few circuits. No problems from what I can see

I bought this new "smart touch" and it is miserable to use. The display is so dark and there is no way to make it brighter. Any time you bring your hand near the bottom of the screen it changes the test type and you have to cycle all the way back. You cannot hold this in your hand while using it. The leads come in to the bottom and will not stand up in a way that can be read. It has less measurement range than my old meter.

Leads contact tips were a bit shorter than I like.

Easy to use, makes finding electrical problems easy to find on cars and in the home.

I have been an electronics hobbyist since 1970 - I have several multimeters, each has it's own unique use. Like most multimeters (where general testing is being carried out, especially where any mains testing is being carried out ), you need three hands, one hand for each test lead and one to hold the test instrument itself - two test leads are always supplied - it would be so much easier if only one of the test leads, instead of being a point probe., were to be supplied with an insulated, decent sized, crocodile clip, or one that could be fitted where required. As for the multimeter itself, I needed one that would fit into my travel/tool bag, this unit is perfect (being mobile phone size) - The purchaser may find it pretty much impossible to follow the included instruction manual, it using terms quite unrelated to the device itself. Nevertheless I have come to like this unit, I find it to be very useful both in my hobby and in general electrical repairs - and rechargeable!!!

All functions work fine and probes are built well. Case is a little light duty. Would not want to drop it. Nice carry case. Have not figured out how to turn off audible ohms or just select ohms reading.
