Polylok 20" / 24" Septic Tank Riser Adapter Ring (PN: 3009-AR)

The adapter ring arrived one day earlier than amazon estimated, and was in good shape. My risers were 24 inches and cutting out the smaller ring on the adapter plate with a utility knife was easy. The hardest part was getting a fairly clean concrete surface on the tank. After using a heat gun to dry it out and wire brush it as in pretty good shape. We used tapcon screws and butyl tape to secure and seal it. The installation was straight forward and within 30 minutes the riser was installed.

I installed two of these adapters along with two 12-inch risers with heavy duty Polylok lids this past weekend at our "weekend retreat". The quality is impeccable and they fit well (snap fit once aligned) to be secured with stainless steel screws. The lids came with seventeen (#10 x 3"??) hex head screws (one spare as you only need eight per lid) which comes in handy if one ends up in the tank :)A couple of pointers:1) Be prepared to cut the plastic adapter if you are using it on a 24" diameter system. No big deal, but an unexpected 5 minute chore with a sabre saw or SawzAll with a small blade. A helper is handy to rotate the adapter ring as you run the saw. I dressed up the cutting job with a file and a piece of emery cloth (30 seconds).2) The next item is a bit of a issue with me as when you are supplied with the 3" screws mentioned above for the heavy duty lids, one might assume that since the lids can mount directly to the adapter rings (no riser needed), that 3"screws would also be necessary for attaching the riser to the adapter ring... wrong. After hunting around for 3" SS screws at my local ACE and paying a buck each for them, imagine my disappointment (an hour away from anywhere) when I found out the screws were too long. I will need to return the 3" screws for some shorter ones (I'm thinking 1 1/2" maximum length will do). This all could have been avoided had someone with Polylok, vendors, or Amazon mentioned that eight SS screws (# 10 x 1 1/2" ??) are needed to secure a riser to an adapter ring.

Came with everything described. Used for my concrete septic tank. Extremely easy to install.

We bought the lid initially. Then realized we need this as well. No more water leaking IN! Our leach field is drying out.

I installed Polylok 3009-AR 20" or 24" Septic Tank Riser Adapter Ring Polylok 24" x 6" Septic Tank Riser Polylok 3008-RC Septic Tank Riser Cover, 24-Inch, Green poly tank cover was used to replace the heavy concrete lid that allows for me to quickly inspect my tanks and clean the filter without having to dig up my yard. The green cover is attractive and blends in well and look right at home with the surrounding grass. It was quick and easy to install and has saved me hundreds in service fees paying to have a company service my effluent filter and digging fees for pump outs. I also add my septic tank treatments directly to the tank by opening the lid and pouring it in!

This cover plate is very made of very thick, durable plastic. The hole templates helped with installation spacing of the anchor screws. The design is a great alternative to replacement with a concrete "plug" type cover. There were no anchor screws included but a trip to the hardware store solved that problem easily. Be sure to order the same brand of and proper size lid to go with this base plate.

Worth noting I only purchased the adapters thru Amazon and the risers and lids from another company that sold them for less.Very easy to install. It'll make life so much easier for future pumpings.
