I’ve tried countless hair dyes over the years, but Madison Reed’s 5NNN shade is hands-down the best at-home color I’ve ever used. I love the color and the easiness of use, i don't like the price. I have HARD to color white hair. It only lasts 2 weeks at most on my white hair at my temples, but on the top of my head it stays for a full month. I guess it varies by person. the smell/odor is okay. Not great but doesn't stink either. Nice packaging and great gloves! I don't like the price but it is nicer than drugstore box color. Cheaper than the salon.

I normally use Naturtint to color my hair but before a recent vacation I didn’t feel like doing the full head so I tried this root touch up. I am so impressed at the results that I’ve decided to try their normal dye next time I want a full coloring. With Natirtint the color would start to fade and hair start to look duller after a couple of weeks. This touch up continues to make my hair look shiny and with good color saturation.

I usually use Dp Hue root touch up. I saw that I would receive this one faster AND it only needed to sit for 10 minutes. I was hoping I could make the permanent switch since Dp Hue needs to stay in your hair for 45 minutes. I applied to my hair. I part my hair adding dye to each small section. I start on the side of my head that has more grays and work my way to the other side. By the time I finished, it had probably already been in the bad side for 15 - 20 minutes. I had some left over so went over the bad side again. I then set a 10 minute timer, slightly concerned that it had been in my hair for too long as it was. Washed as usual. Once my hair dried, I looked in the mirror and all the small pieces around my face are still completely gray. My scalp still has tints of dye but the hair didn’t pick up the color.I will be going back to Dp Hue.

Amazon reviews didn’t let me down. This product works SO well!! I wish I found this sooner. Blended perfectly with my highlights. One review said there wasn’t enough product for one application, but I had more than enough and actually had to throw some away. 100% recommend!!!
