Good fit, comfortable, wears well . Sole lasts a long time and price was very good. This is my 4 time buying this model of shoe.

These are my fourth pair of Merrill hiking shoes. One pair has “retired” to the garage and he’s waiting for my lawn to be mowed or a painting project. Perfect fit (size 13) for all. Great supporting soles (my plantar fasciitis issues insignificant now. My latest pair has the Vibrian soles - nice and firm and hold up well. Good traction. Don’t need any special insoles, just use the ones that come with them. Will buy again when they wear out.

I haven't had the opportunity to do any significant hiking in these and can't comment on how they hold up over time; that is the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. What I can say is that I normally wear a 91/2 shoe, bought a 91/2 in these and the fit was perfect. Due to their being laced rather than slip on I was able to try wearing two pairs of socks (as I would in very cold weather) and they were just as comfortable as with one pair. I was impressed at how comfortable they were right out of the box. I think you could wear them on a long hike right out of the box with no problem. But I wore them for a few hours the first day then the second day they felt even better, so I suggest giving them at least a short break-in before a day long hike. They appear to be a quality shoe that will hold up well, but time will tell on that score.

Love these shoes, I do outside work in them all day. Comfortable, dry, and warm fit. Stands up to wear and tear. On my fourth or fifth pair and will continue to buy.

Joya de zapatos. No necesitan que los prepares para usarlos, no dejan ampollas. Me compré la versión de hombre que vienen un poquito más amplios y me quedaron perfectos. En los comentarios decían que la talla viene ajustada, pero a mí me quedaron de maravilla. No son la versión impermeable por lo que no guardan tanto calor. La suela es su mejor cualidad. Valen cada centavo y solamente los consigues por Amazon.
