Amazon Basic Products has never disappointed me. I always hear people saying it’s generic and all this random stuff they heard from another person without any evidence. So hear some evidence from me on my experience with this product. So recently, I was involved in an accident and lost some blood. The doctor told me I'd have lightheadedness for a few days from the loss of blood and to eat nutrient-rich food, especially iron. Now let’s say I didn’t want to eat a comical fruit from the loom-style bowl of fruits and would rather skip this step. So the next best option was iron pills. I take a multivitamin every day and have included this part of my cycle to bring my blood back to normal. My multivitamin also doesn’t supply iron, so this was a great choice. All I can say is that it works, as does the name of the brand. This is a quality item, and it’s very easy to swallow. The pill doesn’t have a lingering aftertaste. It took a couple of days, but I feel good, and my doctor says you look better. My face feels more warm, and my feet and hands don’t sting as much from a lack of iron. I feel good and would recommend you give this a shot if you have low iron or want an iron supplement without breaking the bank. Amazon's basic products are amazing!!!!!

I was diagnosed with anemia after a major shoulder surgery several years ago when I was at the ER for a blood clot. I followed up with a hematologist and was ultimately given iron infusions to bring up my iron levels. I've since been instructed to take iron 2x weekly and get regular blood work to verify the levels. I purchased this iron supplement and it has helped bring my iron levels into the normal range and keep them there. It doesn't happen overnight, as even infusions take a bit of time to raise levels and they are a more aggressive therapy. However, these iron caps will bring up iron also, it just takes a couple months for it to reflect in blood work. Overall, I recommend this iron supplement. It does not irritate my stomach (I've been told that some iron supplements can cause stomach upset). It has maintained my iron levels in the middle of the reference range as verified by regular blood work. This product is priced really reasonably and does what it's supposed to do. Having verifiable results from lab testing gives me confidence that this actually delivers.

I like that these are vegan and help me (a vegetarian) counteract my mild iron deficiency. These have helped me have more energy and keep from getting dizzy when I stand up (which still happens sometimes, but much less often since I started taking these every day). It's worth noting that these taste absolutely awful. I cannot take these with plain water because the taste is horrible, so I usually take them at breakfast with my coffee or some chocolate milk. I'm okay with this, but I think that's what makes these a 4 star product and not a 5 star product. I would also like it if they had some B12 in here, that's the other vitamin I struggle to get sometimes. But it seems they only sell it in ridiculously huge quantities. I don't need %5,000 of my daily value, thank you. I need like, %75. I can get the rest from fortified cereals and flours and such. Anyway, yes these do work. I would recommend them for anyone who's vegetarian or vegan or who just doesn't get enough iron.
