i like that the dimensions of the product are made in such a way that other items can still be plugged into the top outlet. i use this night light to support my carbon monoxide detector. the sensor isn't so sensitive that it needs total darkness either, it will work in moderate darkness as well. lighting is diffuse enough to stare at in the dark without discomfort. the sensor is analogue and has a nice fade on/off as opposed to a sudden switch. hardware is surprisingly sturdy for plastic and doesn't weigh enough to fall out. will buy another 4-pack for other rooms. the light does not travel far so i mostly use them to calculate my position when walking to the fridge at night.

After our son was born, my wife and I found ourselves sleeping with lights on so we could easily check the baby, or get up to tend to him and see where we were going.I ordered a few of these to see if this would give us the same benefits, without interrupting the little bit of sleep we were getting. On the very first night we realize what a great option this was. I was looking for a night light that produces red light instead of white or blue light. Red light doesn't suppress melatonin production like blue or white night lights. The natural production of melatonin is very important to our health.These night lights have a sensor to turn on when the room is dark. They are sufficiently bright to navigate floor hazards in the dark. They also only take up space of one electrical outlet so the other outlet is available for other uses.If you are looking for a bright night light that won't disrupt your night vision, these are the night lights for you.

These nightlights are good and work just as advertised.They have automatic light sensors that activate the nightlight when light isn’t hitting them. The sensors activate the light if there is any substantial dimness, it does not require actual darkness. For example, with a bright overhead light on in the room, the nightlight remains off, but when I step between the overhead light and the nightlight, my shadow is enough to trigger the sensor and activate the nightlight.These nightlights are bright enough to allow you to walk through an otherwise dark room without bumping into things, but you can’t make out fine details of an object next unless it is directly next to the nightlight.My only complaint is that, because the light/dark sensors are so sensitive, the nightlights remain on in rooms that don’t receive direct light during the day. For example, keeping a nightlight in the corner of an upstairs landing results in it being on 24/7, because there isn’t a window that sheds light directly on that corner. For a set of 4 nightlights in 4 different lighting situations, you can expect that some of them will burn out sooner than others.

I decided to get these red night lights as the baby sleep class I took suggested red light at night as it isn’t supposed to be as harsh or wake you up as much as a typical bright white/yellow light. I definitely believe that. You may think red would be a terrible idea but it’s very soothing and indeed does not fully wake you up. I have these in the bedroom and bathroom. It’s great for nighttime trips to the bathroom and diaper changes. It’s enough light so you don’t run into something but not so bright that you don’t want it on or squint because of it. The motion activation on these works great as well. It turns off instantly if there is a lot of light that it detects. Great price and love that it came as a four pack.

Items work well. Sensors function well. Plug prongs situated slightly offset near item center so unit will block some other things that require more space on the outlet. That's my only real complaint.

I keep these in my bathrooms for midnight visits. The lights we previously had were bright and glaring. These lights are subtle- enough to see your way around and gentle enough to allow you to fall easily back to sleep.

I purchased a 4 pack of these over a year ago. I was very pleased with their style and brightness. I decided to purchase a few more and reordered again. When I received the new batch, they were significantly dimmer than the first batch. I contacted the seller and within 6 hours, they sent replacements. When I received those, they too were dim. I contact the seller again and they immediately sent me multiple boxes of replacements saying they were aware of a bad batch. Sure enough, the last replacements were as bright as the originals. Mistakes in manufacturing happen but when they do, the response makes all the difference. These guys stepped up, acknowledged the issue, and without question, made every attempt to make things right....which they did!
