Luke, I am your father!
The reason for the 5 stars is because of my 5 year old son's reaction when I gave it to him. He LOVED it!! He had been talking about being Darth Vader for Halloween this year so I shopped around a bit. I found one at the Disney store for $45 and was really tempted to get it. But I found this one that had decent reviews and was almost half the price. I figured he wouldn't care about all the details the other one had, he would just be happy to have it. And of course I was right!. He immediately ran to his room and put it on and he wore it all day. The mask is a little weird because there are big clear "windows" where his eyes are, kind of freaked me out at first, but no biggie. It will probably last him a while and I expect he will wear it many many times! And with the money I saved I was able to buy him a light saber to go with it!

My 9 year old lives in this thing...
I bought the large for my almost 10 year old. He is very average size for his age. The suit is a bit long, but that's better than too short. He loves it. Wears it often. I have not had the same issues with quality as others have. I have washed this thing probably 10 times, and it shows no signs of fraying or seam spreading. My son plays outside in it, and wears it to bed sometimes... He's put some miles on it in the few months he's had it. It's a costume, so I assume it won't last forever. But as of yet, he loves playing in it. I'll update this when the seams start splitting, to give an idea of how long it lasted with "overuse."

Can't beat it for the price
This isn't an overly high quality outfit. However since we only needed to use it on Halloween night and one other halloween party, I saw no need to waste additional money. For the 12-16hrs this was probably on - it held up fine. Had no problem with the durability of it. I got the size Small for my (just turned) 5 year old and it seemed to fit him well. The cape was a bit long however and we ended up taking it off when walking around the streets after a while (so it didn't drag on wet ground). The mask is only a 1/2 mask but that's not really a problem. It has shoe covers, the belt and chest computer are just printed on nothing fancy. Obviously doesn't come with gloves or the light saber. The material is what you would expect for a 15-20$ costume, it's very thin and see through - you'll most likely want something underneath it. It does have a very cheap feel to it, I wouldn't buy it if you wanted a costume that would last you several halloweens or one that looks like it cost more then 20$. For the price it is - and all others I saw in this price range (the ones locally were the same quality but about twice as expensive), this is a good deal.

Liked
My Grandson is 3 yrs old. He was so excited to get his costume. It was a little long in the legs but it wasn't to bad. The material is thin. The mask is a little big but it can be fixed by replacing the elastic strap and making it smaller. Other then that its nice. I do think $25 is a little high for the price. Maybe $18 to $20 would be better. I had to buy the light saber separate. Which you can find one for $10 and up. I paid $23 and got 2 light sabers.

Fulfills it’s purpose and true to description
We bought this costume for role play for our toddler because he loves to pretend to be Darth Vader. The costume was a good quality for the price, a little big (but we bought a size bigger). It serves it purpose and we are satisfied with it. The mask is a little too close to your face so you feel squashed and can’t really see well from the eye openings but the makers mention it in description.

Great costume for a great price
Does your child have a desire to concure the universe? To walk down the streets to the imperial death march? Then this may be the costume for them. Sturdy, powerful, and a good price. Never seen a kid so proud to weild a lightsaber in my life. Now if we could just not death choke everyone.

Your Average Darth Costume
The costume is average. It's one of those thinner material costumes, and the sewing is a little shabby (as thought it will fall apart after one wear) --I'm not saying it will, but it looks like it will; we have yet to see how it holds up since we purchased it for Halloween. This costume is pretty much what I expected, and I purchased it based on the positive reviews here. I also purchased separately, (gloves, the voice changer helmet, and light saber that you can hook on to a belt), so as to make the costume better (my son has knee-high black boots he can wear with it instead of the faux boot shoe covers). Everything is painted on, and not actually 3-dimentional.If you are serious about how realistic you want your Darth costume, I would opt for the one from Disney. Theirs is higher end, much better looking (attention to detail, 3-D panel etc.) and would have been less inexpensive all said and done bc it comes with more). I am only pointing this out for die-hards like myself who want as much accuracy and realism with a costume.

RUNS BIG
My mom bought the small for my 3 yr old and it was huge!!! They run very very big. We just pulled the one piece up and tied the belt and folded the fabric over the belt. Cant tell, at least he'll be able to wear it for the next few yrs. It is a great costume, bought it with the light saber and makes noise and lights up and the voice box. I will say I didnt find any smaller ones for the same price so I am still happy with my purchase. Oh gloves however, are my size adult size, those also sold seperately.
