Color me impressed!
I wasn't sure how well these would work considering the dealership price from the website; but for the price i jumped on it. soon as i got them i went to work on taking apart my spare key that had the same damage as my original. i used ring snap pliers to pry open the key, and put in the board on the new one. i placed it on the bottom piece that holds the battery but it didn't line up with the notches.. my heart sank.. i was upset it didn't fit... but checking everything i set it on the top piece to make sure the buttons at least lined up and maybe i could cut some of the plastic.. that's when the board fit in place. i felt so stupid, i put everything together pressed the buttons and it worked! i was able to use all the stock parts on the new keys.. be sure to snag the rubber seal for the battery door since the new ones won't have any. I used this video to get an idea what i was getting into and what to look for. there's a sensor deal he talks about in the video those seem to only be on keyless ignition systems because mine did not have the part he was talking about.. hope this helps!

Worked well for a 2012 Kia Rio 5.
I purchased this key fob shell for a 2012 Kia Rio 5 (hatchback) because buttons of the original had completely cracked & disintegrated away. The Dealership wanted $200 for a new fob (they don't offer shell cases). There are no instructions, but it was pretty easy to figure out how to put the guts of the original into the new case. The old case must be prised open with much effort, while the new case easily snaps back together (and comes with a little screw to secure it closed). I used the original key blade, so I did not need to have the new key cut. Actually, I had to use the whole button/spring/key blade assembly from the original to use the original key blade because the old key does not fit into the new button mechanism. This approach worked perfectly for my application. The original and replacement fob cases look nearly identical. The new case has buttons that seem to "float" a bit more than the original. Perhaps, then, the buttons on this replacement will last longer.

Check the key blade!!!! Update! Too cheap, comes apart while turning
Update!! After 2 uses the fob exploded open. It came open because it doesn’t lock well together and this is after putting epoxy on it! -5 stars if possibleMake sure you look at the picture of the key blade! I skimmed past it trusting that their chart was accurate and came to find out the key blade was different. I had to modify it to make it work by using more than just the computer chip but it sure would have been easier to just have to correct thing to begin with. I also had to apoxy a small section because it doesn’t lock together very well and kept coming apart while turning it in the ignition. Someone else sells the correct case and key blade but I’m not going to bother with it now that I have it working.

A little bit of work but saves you a ton if you are handy.
These look great and fit the components well with the exception of the key. I had to grind down the base of my key in order to fit it in this remote case. Aside from that it has been working well for a month and no foreseen issues. Heck of a lot cheaper than $480 from the dealer.

So Happy!
So I was down to one key and the buttons on that one were literally falling off. The dealership wanted do charge over $200 for a set (they only come in pairs). I took a chance on these and I’m sooo happy. These worked like a charm and I have the shells in case I want to build two new keys. Genius!

Just what I needed and on time delivery
I have 2 key fobs and the keypads on both were crumbling. I got this fob replacement thinking that I would have to replace the whole shell but then I found a video that shows how to replace the keypad only. So I used the keypad from this replacement fob and now my fob is just as good as new.I just ordered another one today to fix my other key fob. So instead of spending $$$ at a dealership, I am paying $18 for two fobs :)

Got the job done!
My buttons were way worn down and one even gone. I called a dealership and they wanted $200+ for me to get a new one! I simply bought this and used it for it's buttons, and my fob is good as new. The old buttons were glued on, but I didn't glue in the new ones and I'm not having any issue with them falling out.

Key was not the same as picture.
The key in the picture is not the same as the one delivered. The add says to make sure to march your key with the picture. I expanded the picture to insure that the key was a match but got a bait and switch.
