This is a nice step up from our previous Oral-B brushes. Those were fine, but as tends to happen after a few years they stopped recharging. This one charges on the same base, but they use a different (and slightly more expensive) brush head. So that is something to know about them up front.They have a nice variety of settings that should suit most folks. Some of the higher-level models have more, but I can't imagine that you need them. This has a daily, sensitive, and whitening mode. I can't really tell the difference between them yet.I thought my teeth felt clean with my last model, but they REALLY do now! I also like how this one works with the timing alerts. You get the 30-second reminders, but it doesn't shut off at the end of 2 minutes in case you have an area that needs a little more time. You can also pause it for a moment (to spit, for example) and it will remember where you were. This is my new favorite feature (aside from thorough brushing of course).I chose this particular model because I found it to be the best value for the provided features. The travel case is great, too, so you never have to be without the great brushing! There is plenty of battery power to make it for most vacations with no need to pack your charger.The pressure sensor ensures I brush with enough pressure, and keeps my husband brushing without too much! (This was a real problem for him, and the red only didn't deter him, the way keeping in the green works for him now. We have a set of one blue, one black, so we always know which is which for certain!

Not to be dramatic, but I could cry happy tears after using this toothbrush. I have gotten countless other electric toothbrushes, and yet my teeth never truly feel clean enough. After using this brush, I feel like I have just come from a cleaning at the dentist (without the pain or nasty flavored paste they use). It’s pricey, but extremely worth it. This thing is saving my teeth, my dentist has noticed tremendous changes. The pressure sensor works great, it’s easy to use, and it’s overall perfect. I could rave on and on about the Oralb io 3. Get it, your oral health will thank you!

Mind Blown! I’ve been using an electric Oral B round replacement head toothbrush for 25 years. I felt like the internal battery was getting to the end of its life and the rotations were weak. I hemmed and hawed about getting a new toothbrush. I’m so glad I did. This iO is nothing like what I have been using. Its vibrations and oscillation is nano. What do I mean by that? It feels like it’s from out of this world. It’s so fast I can’t even tell what it’s doing but it’s surely vibrating all the plaque off my gumlime. I used it once, just now, and I feel like I just had a dental cleaning. Night and day difference from the non iO oral b electric I was using. Unbelievable. If I had known it would be a totally different and 100% upgraded experience I would not have dragged my feet about upgrading my oral b! It’s that good, yes. (Pic: Old one in the back. You can't tell the difference between each mode (Daily use, Whitening and Sensitive)One of the buttons let's you cycle between them but there's no indicator to tell you which you're actually on. (Reddit says it always defaults to Daily upon turning it on).You'll need to "listen" for the change to differentiate them OR buy their upgrade model which happens to have a display... I'm certain that's on purpose.The brush heads are recommended to be replaced every three months and oral b has one of the highest price points for that mind you.If you press too hard the sensor around the brush handle lights up in red, if it's white you're not applying enough.Very easy to apply the correct pressure.Required 16 hours for a full charge according to the manual.I guess this is as good as it gets for the price point.

Some of the functionality that I really enjoy, is the timer that lets me know how much time I spent brushing my teeth. I also like the fact that it’s let you know when to move on to the next quadrant in your mouth. The other function that I really like is it tells you whether you’re brushing too soft or too light with a simple light indicator on the handle of the brush. It turns out that I’ve been brushing my teeth, too hard according to this toothbrush.The weight of the brush is easy to handle, and my teeth always feel clean after following the indicators on the handle and the time of brushing.

This is a replacement for another model Oral B toothbrush that had begun to show its age. I intended to purchase the same as a replacement when I saw this upgrade. I hesitated because of the price difference, thought about it for a day, then purchased this one. I am so glad that I did! This toothbrush leaves teeth and mouth feeling so much cleaner than any of the electric Oral B toothbrushes I've had since the early 1980s. I don't pretend to understand the new technology but I do know that this toothbrush is the best electric that I've ever owned. I'd give it ten stars if that were and option!

Does a great job of cleaning my teeth, and I like the timing feature. When I saw it has 3 cleaning levels I liked that as well. I wish it had a light or display that would show what level you are using. The battery seems to be long lasting. I've been using it about a month and it still hasn't needed to be recharged.
