Works better than described for my MacBook Pro. The description said it wouldn't extend to both monitors and still be able to use the laptop screen, but it does! Not sure if there was a software update from Apple to make this happen, but it's exactly what I wanted!

Very nice product - looks nice, is well made, and has individual port on/off buttons which means that you don't have to unplug and replug the device cable when needed. I am using this product to connect several USB devices (Bluray burner, scanner, label printer, mailing label printer) that all sit on my desk to my workstation computer which sits on the floor. By using the Hub, I only have to run one long cable from the Hub to the workstation. I then have short USB cables to the 4 devices. I purchased this Hub for future-proofing since it supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) devices as well as from the Hub to the workstation. I connected the Hub to a PCIe 2-port USB C 3.1 Gen 2 card. I did have to upgrade the driver for the PCIe card, but that's not really surprising since I purchased the PCIe card several years ago. I really like that the Hub has 3 USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports, 4 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (aka USB 3.0, 5 Gbps) ports, and 3 charging ports. The web page does not describe the data rate for the Host port, but I verified with support that the Host Port transfers at USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) speeds assuming that you connect a device that supports that speed. Just in case it's not obvious, you should only use the 3 USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports with devices that support the 10 Gbps speed -- mostly newer external hard drives.

Update 8/4/23: Customer service continues to be 5 stars. They offered me a full refund past the closing window because the product did not perform as expected. Truly the mark of a great company. i updated my review to four stars to reflect that. Originally got this product because I had a lot of plugs that I needed to upgrade a bigger USB hub for from my smaller 4 port hub. The product didn’t work out that great for me. I have two external drives that kept disconnecting while I was trying to use them. I will give the company five stars for customer support they were very communicative and apologetic with me and sent out another replacement product free of charge unfortunately it had the same issues. I can keep my watch charger plugged in and another external cable but it just does not work for my external drives. I wish I had returned the product instead because now I have two of the same product and I feel like I wasted $50 and I am still on the lookout for a USB hub that does not disconnect. The only reason I did not rate it lower is because the customer support was excellent even if ultimately it did not solve my problem.

Works great on steam deck

Our new powered USB 3.1 hub by Lionwei works great! We have two disk drives attached by USB 3.1 and a number of legacy USB 3.0 or 2.0 devices (printer, scanner, Logitech RF mouse, Apple USB keyboard, USB 3.0 thumb drives). One disk drive is connected by the USB C 3.1 port and one by the USB A 3.1 port. One is a partitioned drive and backs up from the other drive and also backs up the computer drive using Time Machine. An important point to me is that one drive backs up to the other while both are connected by the hub. At this point I have had the drives connected for 24 hours without any dropouts (disconnects), which is what I experienced with a slower USB 3.0 hub. The only thing I could ask for is to have more of the three charge-only ports pass data.

I purchased this dock on December 8, 2024. The 2 display functions worked well for several weeks and then the last week of April 2025, one of the monitors would stopped working. I changed the cables around to make sure that the monitor was OK and it was. I put the cables back to the original configuration and the second monitor still did not come back on. I re-booted my laptop, still didn't work. I tried a new HDMI cable and it still didn't work. I turned everything off and the next day, both monitors worked but I could only connect one external USB disk drive. I think that this is a poorly designed product because its own heat generated intermittency and failures. It is too late for me to send this back, so my recommendation to you is to avoid this product. I ended up spending a lot more money for a Plugable dock and so far it has been stable and working just fine. It better!

Not great. FANTASTIC. I was expecting a poorly made piece, because the price was so low. But what I received was probably the best made little adapter I have ever owned. It is a solid single piece of aluminum that can probably be run over with a tank and won’t break. The connections work straight on, no setup required on the new Mac mini. The adapter has all the right connections too like three extra usb 2, SD and micro SD, plus an HDMI port tohook up my older monitor. Shame on Apple not have added these connections, but this USB C hub is the perfect companion. I’d love to see a thunderbolt 3 to dual thunderbolt 2 made by these folks.

this docking station was just what I needed to connect 2 hdmi monitors to my MacBook pro.

It is a very good product and works perfectly fine with new MacBook Pro M1 and my old Dell monitor. No issues at all. It would be better if the device has a USB C slot.

Can use this adapter with windows laptop or Android Device to share screen on tv or monitor. Also If you have Samsung Phone, like S8, S10 can use to enable Samsung Dex, works great.

Great little device. Works very well and allows me to use USBs and hdmi cables. My only complaint is they have included a USB 2.0 port, which is quite unnecessary and is of no use to me. I would have much preferred three USB-3 ports.

A good quality usb c adaptor and its made of aluminum. Everything works fine so far, the price seems a little high than I expect, but I guess I pay for what I get.

Exactly what I need. Connects my monitor and all my peripherals in one USB C port. No need for external power either. This works like other docking stations for a fraction of the price
