These wicks are absolutely wonderful for olive oil lamps and candles. Soak the wick fully in olive oil to saturate for ten minutes, position the wick 1/4 of an inch in your holder outside of the oil, light, and these will burn smokeless. Excellent!

I had just bought my first small vintage glass oil lamp with a wick included that barely lit up. So, went online and found these at a very reasonable price. They were quickly shipped (thank you so much) and are a very nice quality. I found them to be a little short for my needs so just put two together, end to end. and tied with a little thread. They worked perfectly and give off a strong and perfect sized flame.

These wicks are hard to install, position and maintain in a ceramic oil lamp. They wick the oil very well , but burn up quickly and need to be re-positioned frequently. I have found that making my own wicks by braiding cotton yarn is much easier to maintain, lasts substantially longer and provides a brighter and bigger flame.

I use this product for my lamp and it holds up very well. I've only used it with olive oil, I cannot say how any other oil will affect it.

These wicks do the job and do it well. Happy!

J'ai acheté ces mèches pour aller avec une lampe à l'huile indienne en laiton. Les mèches font parfaitement, facile à installer et elles se consument bien. On doit nettoyer quelque fois le résidu noirci sur le dessus mais ensuite la mèche continue à brûler sans problème. Nous utilisons de l'huile d'olive avec la lampe.

Good quality product

No valen para un quinque de aceite porque son muy pequeñas y con muy poco grosor. En la imagen de la página paracen las mechas más grandes. Además, no especifican las dimensiones de las mechas individuales en ningún lado. No me ha servido para nada la compra.

I plan on using these to make a butterfly feeder. You insert one end of the wick in the nectar through the holes in the feeder. Since these were natural cotton I figured they were the best option. Seems like a good quality product!
