Diesel Fuel Lift Pump

It was very easy to install and my mileage increased around 4to 5 gallons. The cost was verified reasonable.

The wiring harness was supposed to come with a diode according to their support. It didn't come with the diode and it fried my starter. I'm out over $250 for a $5 part. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Works great just a bit noisey.

Bought pump with optional hoses/clamps. Installation was exactly as shown in booklet including pointers on what to do for best results. I had a major garage look at the after installation and they also said it was high end equipment and instructions.

Buyers beware, no pressure!! 160gph is only a little over 2.5 gpm, so it flows as advertised when I tested it. However it does not have much suction power on inlet or positive pressure on outlet. I installed on a long flatbed Chevy 2 ton with rear fuel tank 20 ft from the engine. Instructions with pump claim it has a weak lift, and to place as close to tank as possible. I installed directly beside the tank, and pump does not have the pressure to push the fuel the 18 ft to the fuel filter. Don't waste money unless tank is close to engine.

like it says it never worked. So i contacted amazon and they were quick to help me get a return going i had to out of pocket order a new one so i could take care of my customer. Now I have received my new pump i tested it at least turns on . But what I'm seeing is the first one had no instructions and no mounting hardware or California sticker all of which was in the new pump box when i opened it ??? it looks to me like some one slipped up and sent me a returned defective unit anyway i might update after install but as of right now I'm not impressed. oh yes I'm a 45 + years as a tech. and it took me less then 5 seconds to confirm the new one was good even though the tech support dept told me they don't work unless you install all the relays because it has special grounds That is bull you can safely test the pump before you go threw all the install its very easy.

Thought I was buying a new part not a preinstalled unit with a cut wire. Smells like diesel. Can I get a new one please.

If I could give you six stars, I would.The quality, and workmanship of this lift pump is outstanding.The inlet filter with a spare element should help increase it's life expectancy, and an adjustable pressure relief valve is greatly appreciated.It's advertised as a Ford replacement pump but it's also a quality and price effective replacement for a first or second generation Dodge.
