I was worried about the ceramic base being too thin or fragile, but when I bolted them down, I had no issues. The attached pigtail wires are a heavy enough wire for any wattage bulb you'll use.I am using these to retofit an advertising sign, and I am only using 13.5 watt LED bulbs, but the ceramic base and the heavy wires are overkill for that - I would feel comfortable with 100 or 150 watt incandescent bulbs.These were a little more expensive than some others I have seen, but the quality seems high and I trust them more than any of the plastic ones I saw.

We had a pendant light that broke in our kitchen and did not want to replace the entire fixture. This fit perfectly and saved us $$$$$

Sockets are fine, screws attaching hickey to socket are hard to undo if you need to detach the hickey. My problem was that each socket is in its own little box, and I did not check them all upon arrival. When I went to use the third one I discovered it was broken and unusable, and I'm beyond the return window. Just wanted to advise buyers to check them all when you get them.

Perfect replacement for swinging dock lights socket. Truckers are brutal on them. Quick fix when porcelain breaks or mangled by broken bulb.

Used these to make this light and they turned out well.Did have to buy an additional set of rings because I needed them on the top and bottom.Socket is barely thick enough to mount with 2 rings on 3/4" wood but it's totally functional.

prefer the square keyless sockets as i connect to screws not to wires but they still work
