The Antser Ant-Proof Barrier is a means of keeping ants away from the Antser's top surface. It uses an internal water barrier to keep ants away.

YES! THIS WORKS.
I have had this almost a year now. I have had ZERO ants in my cats food. ZERO. This is absolutely worth the money and low maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ant proof!
When soap is added to the water, ants don't get into the cat food.

Works precisely as advertised
After years of cluttering up the floor with flooded cookie sheets and various pieces of crockery, I bought one of these and-presto!-it was indeed the answer. Liked it so much bought another one. Great product.

It works!! Worth every penny!
This is awesome. Worth every penny. Louisiana ants are the worst! I haven't had any trouble at all with ants getting in my dog's food. It works to perfection!

The best for avoiding ants - preferred by the shelter I work for
The animal shelter I work for uses these, they get donations and recommended to me. I’ve had zero problems with ants, plus they are a good size to keep any food from going on the floor and easy to clean. I use for my cats. Be sure to follow directions adding a little dish soap to the water under the top tray.

Works unless you have messy eaters.
We live in an area where ants are just everywhere. They tend to stay outside, even if you drop human food. But the second a cat drops a tiny piece of food? An army of ants shows up. So we decided to try this. Surprise! It works. But there’s little to stop falling food. So I cannot give it 5 stars , because ants galore is still ants galore. Only difference is now we’re not wasting a can of food when they show up. I think if it were just a bit bigger, it’d have been 5 stars. We may need to get a second one later because while both cat fit bowls fit fine, this just isn’t big enough to catch the dropped food from both, so maybe having a smaller bowl in the center of one of these will work better. If your pets never drop food, this is 5 stars. For us, our kitties drop a little but enough to still be an issue. It is easier to get rid of them though.. One quick wipe down they didn’t come back. When the food was on the floor, I’d spend all day wiping the whole floor down with vinegar before they moved on.

This thing works really well
This thing really works to keep ants out of cat food. It doesn't use pesticides either, which is a big bonus. It also raises the food off the ground which is supposed to be better for cats in general. Really happy with this purchase. The only thing I would like is the option to buy a slightly bigger one, and some type of mechanism to attach a feeder to it so that a strong and persistent cat won't knock it over. Currently, I'm thinking of a way to do this with magnets and such, but I don't know if it will work or not. For most cats, this thing is perfect though, which is why I gave it 5 stars.

BEST feral feeder, but needs one tweak
I feed a community of TNRed cats and have had the worst problem with ants covering their bowls. I tried so many things (putting the bowl in a larger bowl full of water, putting it on a mat covered in water, raising the bowls) and each "solution" created its own set of problems. The reviews on this were good, so I decided to try it out. It's incredibly easy to set up and very easy to refill (I live on the coast where it's 100+ degrees). I've had it for a few months and have only had to refill it once. The *only* improvement I would suggest is to have a small clip or something to keep the top attached to the bottom. As soon as my cats are done eating, if there's even one piece of food left over, the possums come out and clumsily step on the antser to get to the bowls. They've knocked the top off quite a few times. That could be resolved by having some type of lock feature (though not *too* tight of a lock, because I enjoy the ease of taking the top off to put new water in).Overall, I'd buy this again, regardless of the price tag. I've had ants only once and that was when I knew I needed to refill. Otherwise, I enjoy watching them walk around the antser as if they're looking for David Bowie outside of the labyrinth.
