McFarlane - Avatar MEGA Banshee - A1 Jake Sully's Banshee (Bob), Multicolor

I got the big ikran without Jake (because I really just like the flying butterfly reptiles lol). The box came in great condition and was the perfect size for the figure. Color accuracy was spot on to the photos, and the figure is of great quality - I particularly enjoy the transparent wingtips. Though I can’t speak for the quality of the black light glow spots, because I have not checked with a black light. The joints are sturdy but not too difficult to articulate, and there is quite a bit of movement. The tail has a wire in it that allows for slight bending. The rod is a little difficult to insert in the figure. Another person here made a video review on it that is very thorough - though I would add that it is best to insert the ball joint rod by resting the ikran’s back against your thigh and going in at an angle towards the head. The ball joint is great at holding the ikran at angles. The rod and base are sturdy enough to keep the figure stable enough, even with some moderate agitation. The base measures 7 inches in diameter. From nose to tail, the ikran measures 21.75 inches. The wingspan is 25 inches. And when mounted, the figure stands at 12 inches high (when placed in a t-pose). If you decide not to mount your ikran, it is capable of sitting (see image on back of box) and the height is a few inches to the top of the head. Overall, the figure has great quality and size for the price point. It would make a perfect gift for Avatar fans and collectors!

The quality of this is pretty good! Plastic is good, packed well, has a lot of posable parts and articulation and looks very nice on a LARGE shelf. This figure is BIG, bigger than you expect eith its wing span so have a lot of room for it. It was easy to assemble and place. Its stability in standing on its own could be better but its do-able.

The banshee is simply beautiful. Of course, there are a few scuffs, scratches, paint misaligned, but from a distance and on a shelf (as it should be, this is a display piece and not a toy) it is simply beautiful. Pictures hardly do it justice for its size. This thing is MASSIVE and finding a good spot to put it was difficult for me. The wingspan is about 24.5 inches wide at the wingtips and the thing is 23 inches long from the tail. Speaking of the tail, it is flexible sure, but do not expect to bend it and have it stay where you put it. Overall, the banshee is possible in some sense, but keeping it in its 'midflight' look in my opinion looks best. Pros: It's stunning and eye catching from a distance. This will be a highlight piece for any small-time collector. Cheap, and very effective. Cons: Mild scuffing, not very possible, a little fragile.

This figure is HUGE! It's very well made and while it takes a bit of strength to assemble (especially the post) it looks fantastic on display! Does need to be displayed out of box as the Skimwing requires some minor assembly (it's packed with it's wings folded in and it's tail is separate from it's torso.) Highly recommended! Side note: I've noticed a lot of reviews say the base isn't very sturdy and breaks easily and I can't help but feel like those people are not assembling it correctly. Once the post is fully inserted into the body, the base is more than sturdy enough to support it in the position you want it. The post needs to be inserted BEFORE you place the Skimwing into the base, trying to shove the figure down onto the post while in the base will certainly cause the breakage shown in the other review images.

I had already gotten Neytiri’s Banshee, and I loved it so much that I had to get Jake’s Banshee too. I have over 75 action figures, and these Banshees are BY FAR the coolest ones that I own. They are huge, the detail is incredible, and the Jake action figure can sit on the banshee perfectly. Let me tell you some of the details. The black light activated dots are beautiful, and they are in a pattern that can ONLY be seen when you shine the backlight on them. The banshee comes with a pocket on the saddle for Jakes bow. The coolest thing to me, is that there are slits in the banshees antenna when you can connect Jake’s braid into the antenna to create “the bond” between Jake and the banshee. I will never get over how cool these banshees are, and if you are on the fence about getting them just buy it. It is well worth $50.

I got this 2 pack Mega Banshee with Jake Sully included when it was on sale for $22. For that price it is amazing. Would I pay the normal 75? I don't thinks so. Is the Mega Banshee on its own worth 50? Possibly. I bought this 2 pack because of the Banshee. It looks awesome: the sculpting is on point, the paintjob is great. It is massive, however, so be ready for that. The Banshee's articulation is pretty meh for its size though. The jaw doesn't open, and there could definitely be an ab crunch joint too. MacFarlane articulates its humanoid action figures quite alright, but their creatures are so lacking in articulation. This one here is however, one of their best ever. Luckily. For the price I paid I cannot complain. And Jake Sully is nice too: extremely movie accurate, good articulation, great paintjob, stiff joints (as always with MacFarlane).

Epic figure!! Details and design is wonderful.
