Humane way to keep large breed puppy from ingesting foreign bodies without crating 24.7 at work
Excellent product. Soft yet durable silicone material. Have a master chewer and destructor on our hands _ 8 mo old st bernese my dog and my sister, who is a veterinarian suggested basket muzzle training as an alternative to being in the crate all day while we work. I was skeptical thinking she would escape - but nope! Works great - has held up - got an xl for an 85 ish lb broad nose block head breed and fits perfectly with enough room for comfort aroind the eyelids and not pressure placed On that spot. Also note that the muzzle permits enough room for your dog to drink water comfortably and breath and pant through both moith and nose - they simply cannot open their mouths wide enough and get their teeth thru the basket portion to consume foreign objects. Also limits the ability to bark loudly. Has a secondary switch button on the top right portion of near the ear strap that acts as secondary means of keeping the muzzle on your dog in the event the three prong plastic clips used on the two attachments to secure the muzzle fail or if your dog can maneuver out of those with ease - this keeps the nylon connection locked together in an additional place. Would buy again. Don’t knock it til u try it if u have mega chewers - Experienced xl breed owner here with prior dogs of xl breed and this is one of the few viable solutions I’ve come across to avoid creating an xl dog while away from home at work without having to isolate them to a kennel all day.

Long read, full story of a garbage product
I'm pretty upset with this product, honestly. My dog highly disliked the cage which is understandable because it was new to her. After following the size chart and actually measuring my dogs mouth diameter and length, ordering the "correct fit" it was tight between the eyes and would not stay on unless tight around the neck as well. Again, all understandable because it's designed to start secure on dogs that may be a little more rambunctious. I allowed my dog a day of walking around with me around while she was wearing the muzzle, in order to show her it wasn't some sick and unusual punishment. I leave her in a giant master bathroom when I leave for the day, but she tears things up and I couldn't get her to stop. *This product comes into play* She wears the muzzle for 2 hours while my girlfriend goes out shopping, who confirmed it was properly secured before leaving. The was nervous it would fall off so she kept checking it before leaving. TWO HOURS LATER The muzzle is gone, the dog completely ate it, so she was likely about to get it off within minutes of being left alone, and spent two hours just eating it. The strap portion was still around her neck and face, so the rubber part likely just pulled from the fabric portion after being messed with for only minutes. Furious waste of money. Find a better product.

Works well but material is not durable
Loved the product itself however definitely think about the dog you are going to put this on. Our cane corso is very intelligent and the muzzle fit well and worked as intended however he found it and chewed it up. We are looking at some alternatives he cannot chew up if we happen to not pick up off the floor or if he finds it.

Well built, but..
The harness is the right size made of durable material. seems comfortable to put on my dog. it has one flaw though.. he can apply enough pressure to pop the connector. he gets his paw behind the mask at the jawline and pulls it, the clasp snaps open and falls off his face, in seconds..

Size 4 for Rottie with a longer snout
I bought this to start muzzle training for my Rottie i rescued a year ago. He’s reactive to strangers and we needed a muzzle for the vet and to bring him places to work on socializing. I read a lot of comments about it breaking easily due to dogs trying to get it off with their paws. When we first started training he tried very hard to get it off but i always stopped him so he didn’t break it. It took me a minute to learn how it goes on but i realized the loop at the bottom is for it to go on a collar. Once i learned how it went on and my Rottie was doing better with training it’s easy to get on. I was nervous it wouldn’t fit him right cause he doesn’t have the traditional Rottie snout. His Snout is longer but still has some thickens to it. It ended up fitting good and he still has some room length wise. I put a few example pics of my Rottie for reference. He’s able to eat treats but hasn’t attempted to eat or drink with it. It’s very easy to clean. At the vet they fed him cheese wiz that got all over it and was easy to clean with a wet napkin. The one thing that bothers him is the strap that goes in between his eyes and over his head. I keep it a little loose so sometimes when he tries to rub it off it gets in his eyes. He’s very smart so i’ve noticed that him having on the muzzle he knows he can’t bite. He was very nervous at the vet and when the vets came in he growled a bit but he didn’t try lunging. Training him to get comfortable with the muzzle was a lot easier than i thought too. He’s very stubborn and hated it. I started off by putting treats in the muzzle and letting him put his face in it to get the treats for good association. Then i held it up and held a treat through a hole so he had to put his face in it. About 30 minutes later i had my brother distract him with treats so i could clip it. Once it was on he did try to get it off but i held his head up so he didn’t get it off or break it. I did that a few times then once it was on i kept giving him high value treats like ham. Within less than an hour i was able to walk him with it. Now he gets happy when he sees it cause he knows he’s getting a treat. He does still try and take it off a few times but gives up. I like that it has padding on the part that goes between the eyes and head. Plus it’s reflective. Overall it’s a good price and it’s done everything i needed it to. I recommend it!

Sizing chart on the listing is SO WRONG
While this seems like a quality product, you will not buy the right size if you follow the sizing chart. What I received was something that fit over her eyeballs. I have a German shepherd and her snout circumference is 11 in and her snout length is 4 in I couldn't tell which size to get because she was either a three or a five. I went with the snout length and got a five and that was entirely ridiculously too wide such that the cage will fit over her face meaning her eyeballs. I have since returned it the next day and I have already received a size 3. Why a size 3? Well I'll tell you because the pamphlet that comes with the product when you receive it has a correct sizing chart therefore I was able to reorder the correct size and it fits her like a glove. I have attached a picture of the sizing chart included with the product so you can perhaps use that one instead of what they have on this listing. Good luck.

These are very gentle muzzles, there's always a bit of a trade off between softness and strength.
As a veterinarian, I try to help owners find products that will help keep them and their pet as well as others safe when they go for walks, enter stressful environments or want to prevent adverse animal interactions. Occasionally cage muscles that are soft well fitting are needed. They can drink, pants, breathe and open their mouths fully inside these muzzles. They can simply prevent them from Putting things they shouldn't eat, things they shouldn't bite or stopping them from chewing on themselves… If your pet is used to wearing muscles without complaint, these are fine. They are very soft flexible and giving. Unfortunately should your dog decide to try to get it off, these do not hold up well with a little front foot toenail action they can break the rim that holds the straps in place. Unfortunately that makes muscles virtually useless, so you must watch your pet and make sure they are a custom to wearing a muzzle before you try to utilize this one. all muscles can be ripped broken and turn off the head if used in properly. Overall these are good quality muscles at a fraction of the price and are a good investment if this is the type of product you need.
