Worth every penny! Oh my, I had been using or perhaps I should say struggling with one of those inexpensive helping hands with the two clips and magnifying glass. That thing was like using baby hands to help. I'm really impressed by the quality of this product and the attention to detail from the weight of the base and the quality of the clear coat, the color that increases visibility of the parts or projects you're working on the magnet mounts designed intelligently to not mar the surface of the base to the feet which are nice and grippy to the ability to reposition while providing adequate stability and rigidity, to the clips which actually have some strength to them to the rubber tips on the clips which also appear to be very high quality and for the ability to have a set screw to keep the clips from rotating when you don't want them to, this thing is insane. I also purchased a panavice pv jr which is equally affordable and should be a really great additional way to hold and position work. I can't wait to start building with this thing. Thank you so much for making something so great in the US.

Exactly what it's supposed to be
For me this is a great product. I recently picked up two new interests and my PanaVise 350 is a big part of both. One hobby doesn't need helping hands, but the other almost always does. The movable arms allow me to use as many as I need, wherever I need, and then move them out of the way, or remove them entirely if I want. The plate adds a nice weight to my vise, and while it overhangs the wells in the tray a little, because of the contour of the wells all parts are in plain site and easily reached, in the front and side wells, at least. The arms are sturdy and flexible. There is some spring back, which may go away in time, but I just put the arm close to where I want and then position the part in the jaws. Precision requires some fiddling, but it always does. Once in place it's pretty much there. You can bump it away, but if you're a little careful it stays where you put it. The jaws have full rotation and lock easily and securely, and have silicone sleeves to protect wires and delicate parts. All in all, this is a great product, and it actually surpassed my expectations, which were high, based on how great this seemed to be on the webpage. It's not lab-grade equipment, but it's not supposed to be. This is a solid, functional tool for hobbyists or makers, and that's what it is supposed to be. Well done.

BEEFY!
I’ve had a few different Panavise attachments and always swapped them out on the single base I have (you can see the other base/vise in the background). I ended up needing some rock-solid helping hands and found this model that would enable me to attach my Panavise attachment and leave the actual mini-vice connected to the Panavise steel base. The base itself is super heavy duty and has a nice durable powder coat finish. The magnetic arms are really nice because you can use as many as you need and remove the arms you don’t need (unlike the non-magnetic bases). You could use any Panavise attachment that fits the standard bolt pattern with this base too, depending on you needs/application. The arms are steel and also very beefy, the magnets are VERY strong They are easy to move around where you need them and once you get them there, they stay there. I only wish the base were a bit bigger because I’ve discovered all the odds and ends I have that can attach magnetically to the base! The flashlight and arm are Prometheus Lights Beta with the Prometheus Lights custom magnetic base and mount for any Prometheus Beta V2.

The perfect way to stabilize your PanaVise
This base is PERFECT for using your PanaVise on a table without permanently mounting it. It's decently heavy, and for what I use my PanaVise for (mostly holding circuit boards for soldering), this is plenty heavy for keeping the PanaVise from sliding or tipping. The magnetic arms are nice, too. The only issue I have is that, although the arms are very flexible and solid, they don't articulate finely enough, so if you want to hold something within a millimeter or two of another object held in the PanaVise, it'll be difficult to get them exact. Overall, this is a VERY well-made accessory to the PanaVise and worth every penny.

The Best Helping Hands Device Hands Down!
Used it for the first time this past weekend to hold a small input jack for my speaker cabinet. Made soldering the 4 wires so much easier! 10X's better than those silly metal helping hands which are so limiting as to what you can do. Not these quad hands! The length of the arms are perfect, long enough to make all the moves and hold your electronic part precisely where you need it. The arms are just the right stiffness to where they stay put but also can bend to whatever position you desire. The only suggestion I had was to add a 5th hand with a small LED light on the end of it but you can achieve a similar result by strapping a small pencil flashlight to one of the four arms. The base is solid and doesn't take up much footprint and doesn't have to be upright to work properly either. Love this device!!! And the customer service was excellent as they shipped a set of those protective rubber/plastic things for the alligator clips lickity split and offered to send more when these wear out. Great product and great service!

Well constructed, sturdy and nicely finished. Magnets are strong and clips work great with a rotatable locking position. Paired nicely with a Panavise 350. I trust this will last a lifetime. Packaging could have been better as it came in a flimsy box that looked somewhat beaten up. Luckily, Amazon packed it inside another box with adequate protection for the long haul across the Pacific Ocean.

Excellent quality.

Strong magnets hold the 4 flexible, positional "arms" securely on the base. Seems to be exactly what I needed for some soldering, modelling work!

I am really impressed on how well built this is and the materials they've used. Have not used it very much, but for a first impression its impressive.

Don't waste your cash on Chinese junk. Quad Hands products are made in America and provide the quality you would expect from tools made there. The best part is that Quad Hands are not much more expensive than the foreign garbage. I can also tell you their service and willingness to stand behind their product is superb. I was missing a couple washers that fell out of the box during shipping. Contacted the company by email and received a response that day with a note saying they would send me replacement washers. The next day it was shipped expedited and I received them in two days. Not only that...they threw in a a little bonus product for the inconvenience. WOW. My total experience with this product and this company reignite my confidence in American manufacturing and service!
