The media could not be loaded.  I have needed a remedy for drainage and run off and have been seeking an easy to install and affordable option. When I saw this product, it looked like the perfect fit for my needs.I was right!This kit is easy to install, attractive, and WORKS!I put it together myself in an area near the steps on my back deck where the new gutter system dumps a lot of run off. I like that the catch bin is both sturdy and not too deep. This allowed for me to be able to place it just below the spout. The tubes are expandable and not too big. This made it easy for me to attach them together using the provided device and loop them behind the steps and out into the rock garden. You can purchase extra tubing for larger areas. I also like that the kit comes with mesh screen to keep debris from clogging the main drain.As you can see in the video and photo, the system works! I have already ordered 2 more and extra tubing. I am going to purchase more!I wish the tubing was a little sturdier, though. I am lot sure how long they will last during harsh summer heat.These kits come in two colors: black and green. They are actually packaged nice enough for gifting. Gift or purchase with confidence.I highly recommend these kits!I hope you find this review helpful.

It is what it says it is.. seems sturdy and the parts are easy to install . The hose is easy to work with, easy to cut and easy to expand and contract as needed. I used a hole saw to install the hose into the PVC drain in my yard.. then sealed it with Flex seal as I do all the yard connections to keep the roots out.

I will start with the only issue that I have with these; they are too lightweight. So you should also buy something to anchor them down with. That sounds like it would be easy to figure out but that U-shaped metal that you are thinking about is trickier to find, than you think. So what you are going to look up are "wind stakes" that have a 2" width between each part of the U. I ended up green rebar trampoline wind stakes. In some regions that may seem like overkill but in a place like coastal Connecticut, where we are hit by tropical storm and hurricane winds, it is probably worth getting heavy duty anchors for such a light weight, above ground drainage unit. I use 2 stakes per unit.As far as how they work.. they work fantastic! I hadn't been watching the news so I didn't realize that the day after I set these up that we were going to be hit by a storm with high winds and dropped 5" of rain over just 18 hours. There would always be some flooding in my cellar from a storm like this but this is the first time that there has been no water coming in. None! All that I can think is that it is far more efficient than traditional metal gutter extensions and that maybe there was a significant amount of water leaking through by the elbow connectors. I am actually moving but these above ground units were a cheap way for me to test basin drainage, which I will definitely be putting in at my new house. But if that isn't doable in my initial budget, then I know that I can come back for more of these at this low cost, until in ground basin drainage is in my budget.

Everything you need to set this downspout extension up comes in the box. It's easy to assemble and all of the parts seem to be durable and ready for immediate use!

Just what I needed..works great

Flexibility and no wire in coils. This was key for my application.

Bought this before for a small landscape drain project; I just needed a little small-diameter conduit to let water flow more easily to a French drain, across a landscape bed. It’s easy to perforate (too easy for most purposes, but ok for mine), and it cuts easily, and it is annoying to stretch but it does open up (easiest to use a pair of pliers to grab one end, if you have difficulty like I did).Three stars bc quality is so-so, good enough for a limited purpose, but I wouldn’t use this for bigger jobs. I just need short (4 ft) segments of easy to bury (small od) tubing to allow water to cross from a sidewalk through a raised landscape bed to the drain.I was particularly annoyed that the white connector pictured was not included; I couldn’t tie it into a leftover piece from a prior project like I had intended. I’d send back but I really need to get this drain in before all the rain…

Noticed neighbours using the regular, wider black outlet pvc downspout extension hose to divert water from their sump pump outlets farther away from their foundations but the downspout diameter is wider than an average sump pipe. This version fits snugly over the sump pipe extension on the side of the house to take the water farther and the length is just about right.
