Using the correct tool always helps
What was the hardest part of the R&R? Figuring out what screwdriver was correct! Nothing I found in Berettaland said anything other than Phillips #2 was correct or it was a Torx screw. Ok, I have a Phillips #2, but it just would not engage properly and I had a strong opinion it was wanting to round off the lugs so I stopped, rethought my search criteria and found a brief forum exchange saying Beretta uses a Pozidrive #2 screw in a number of their products. To AMZ I went, found one I wanted, arrived 2 days later, and literally took me 5 minutes to replace the pad. No slippage, no screw damage just an easy task to complete. Saved me taking it to a gunsmith who would likely laugh under their breath or outright at the silliness (and expense) of having to have someone do it. The Pozi #2 stays with the gun case from now on.

Better then the original
Got this for my pidgin sporting 1 , fits perfectly. The original denigrated before I really even realized it. This one is more of a rubberized material rather than foam. 2 Phillips head screws later and she looks brand new again.

Beretta A400 competition
I don't typically write reviews but with the difficulties I had getting the correct replacement I thought this might be helpful. This pad was the exact replacement of the original for the A400 competition (xcel extreme...) and not the upland. Competition is the 5.35" length and upland is the 5.03". You will have to reuse your existing screws. Be sure to use a couple of drops of gun oil on the pad holes to reduce damaging the pad while inserting the screws and installing it to the stock. Hope this is helpful to someone Now back to making dust from clays

Exactly as advertised
This .40" recoil pad is great for shortening the length of pull if you arms are a bit shorter than average. I installed it in a snap on a UGB 25; it was sized perfect. If you do not already have 2 wood screws (you've lost them, you're dealing with a bare, second-hand stock that did not come with any screws) then you will need to buy screws as well. It does not come with any mounting screws.

Bought the 28mm as a replacement for the unobtainable Beretta Geltek system that is no longer produced. Have a Beretta 682 Gold Skeet 12 bore. 5 min change on my kitchen table, perfect fit. Had a gun shop tell me this probably needed to be sent away to be re-fitted by a gunsmith as nothing existed that could fit. Looking on various forums this MicroCore was recommended as an option. Shooting forums were correct. Delivered a day earlier than promised.

As described, as long as you have the measurement for the one you need and as long as its a beretta it should fit straight on, no need to reduce size as long as your stock hasn't been shortened
