What is the measurement from the back of a shelf to the restraining bar? In other words, what is the deepest spice jar that would fit on a shelf?

Has anyone mounted this spice rack on the back of a pantry door? Is the wooden rail is high enough to keep the moving jars from tipping over?

I do have two of them mounted on the back of my pantry door and don't have any trouble with them tipping over, even though my door "sticks". The only thing I would mention is --- because my door sticks --- I wish I would have secured the bottom of the rack to stop it from bouncing.,

Does this rack fit Simply Organic Spices which are 2”x2”x4.5”?

The 2.75" D spice rack will hold Simply Organic square spice jars. The usable shelf behind the dowel is 2 1/4 inch. I mounted them onto a "3/8" wood spacer" to increase the usable shelf behind the dowel to 2 3/4 inches. This allows be to put 11 jars on each shelf in a zig zag line. BTW, I lightly sanded the oak, hung them by the mounting hardware and brushed on a light coat of urethane to finish the wood to protect it, make it easier to clean and bring out the grain. I love the shelf! And, I mounted underneath it the 4.75" D spice rack for the larger spice jars! They look great together. Very functional: easy to find when the spices are organized alphabetically.
