Bought for looks & durability
My car comes with an air intake tube that is ribbed, which doesn't look good and usually starts looking chalky after a few years. So I wanted something that looks better, and only really wanted a K&N drop in filter to replace the stock filter, so I don't have to replace the stock filter so often. It was incredibly easy to install, and looks much better. They claim horsepower gains, but I cannot verify that and somewhat doubt their claims. I didn't buy it for horsepower anyway. Recommended.

The intake tube could be manufactured for a better fit
I'm overall satisfied with the product, but I think their engineers could have spent more time designing the intake tube. It is a very rough fit with the slacking meant to be taken up by the rubber boots on each end. Not what one should expect from K&N.
