This IR repeater works really well. I've used many of these over the past 20 years, most of them much more expensive than these, but this one works just as well as those did. It's very easy to set up. Don't be afraid and think you need any technical abilities to set it up. It's perfect for those remote controlled devices that you don't have a clear shot at, like in a cabinet or if you sit way off to the side of the device. You just place the receiver part where you can easily aim your remote at. I purchased two of these for different rooms. I recommend them if you have any problems getting your remote activate well.I also want to commend this seller for the good customer service they provided when I contacted them through Amazon messaging regarding a receiver question I had.

Exactly what I was looking for. I can now control my stereo from anywhere in the room without opening the stereo cabinet. Very easy to set up.

I am a professional AV installer and wanted to give this budget friendly IR system a try. When powered up the first time with the provided power supply the LED lit up once and never came on again. Unit maybe worked for 3 seconds before it failed. Total garbage, don't waste your time with this product.

It works well for my need of newer TVs with feet don't have the IR Receiver in a better place they have it at the bottom of the TV and when having surround sound it covers it too. So, this fixed that and works well but it requires it to be directly pointed at the receiver and doesn't pick up as well like as the Flirc USB Adapter.

Exactly as described. Solves the need to have my AVR out of sight and still use the remote.

The product works to a certain extent for my setup. But I bought a mono jack trigger cord and had zero luck with using the amps remote input. Might be the trigger jack cord, might be the device itself. Either way, I hate the wires trailing around the A/V equipment. Put it back in the box and gave up on it for now. I just lean a little on the couch and aim for the receiver when i occasionally need to change sources. Not really the fault of the device. I seem to have a weak IR in the Sony receiver. This Receiver is not as nice as the Sony 1080 it replaced that sat in the same spot and never needed IR help.If you don't mind the wires, or have it behind a door where you don't see them. Its likely good enough for most.

This repeater works great as it is. The only caveat is that it seems that you cannot have more than one source. I needed a second IR Receiver, so I bought a second unit and I use one of the IR receivers of the first one to relay it to the second one's receiver.
