Topdon sent it quickly and I have had it for a few weeks now.So upon opening the box, I was happy to find a semi-hard case to protect the tool. Unzipping the case, you can see that the tool is pretty simple. It has a power and ground lead, which will be connected tot he battery being tested. The alligator clamps appear to be very well made, unlike some other testers I have used. They are spring loaded and quite strong to hold and make a good, solid connection.Instructions are easy to follow as well.So, you download the app from the app store to either a phone or android tablet. You can then go through initial registration and such of the tool. (Simple to do)As for the tool in use, it is simple as well. The instructions are in the app once it is opened. You can save your results of tests, which I like because it can then be shown to a customer. I am used to using a midtronics tester, but have grown to really like using a picoscope for this purpose. However, this tool seems accurate according to the testing I have done thus far. Now, here's the thing. The midtronics unit was around a grand, the picoscope...well, that's obviously more. This thing..well, this thing is extremely cheap and realistically will give you the results you need to test your battery and charging system. It works as designed. Follow the on screen instructions in the app, for the test you are performing, and get accurate results. Not much else to say. It is a nice tool that works as advertised in my opinion.

I am so happy I made the decision to purchase this battery tester. It is compact and lightweight yet loaded with features including a wireless connection which enables me to do all of my testing in the warmth of my car. It is accurate and provides step by step instructions along the way. Its dummy proof, even someone who has never worked on a car can easily use this tool to detect the problem or for routine maintenance in order to prevent a problem before it shows up. Just hook it up and follow the on-screen instructions. This tool literally paid for itself the first time i used it. I was expecting to use this to confirm I needed a new battery but instead it pointed toward a different issue which resulted in keeping my perfectly good battery and replacing a battery cable. Saved well over one hundred bucks. I feel this battery tool is a must for not just the diy mechanics but everyone who owns a car.

I used the device four times. The first three, it worked with no problems. On time four, the battery check worked to the 3rd setting (CCA number) and it stopped. It won't take any additional settings. The company is sending multiple emails asking if I did this or that properly (after doing it three times before) and wanting movies and other proof that I somehow did it wrong the 4th time. Unfortunately, I waited too long to return it and now have a useless paperweight. It was a great idea and I'm sure it works for most applications - just not mine. I tried several batteries and even a power supply. Now they want a picture of the battery (I could send 4 that I tried, unsuccessfully), a video showing how I tested it (they don't want t see the three times I dried before that), and they are making sure the clamps are correct, despite the fact I've already sent a picture of the failed test (which wouldn't have been possible without having it connected).

I have so many old batteries that I just bought a pulse charger to try to restore them. So I needed it a good tool that would monitor the before and after and this does a great job. It gives you all the data that is needed including state of health and resistance, the app is fairly easy to use the only thing that I do not like is that I can't sign up for an account I have emailed customer support but not have heard back from them yet it would be nice to know how to sign up because when I enter my email address to send the verification code I will never receive it. However back to the product all you need to do is connect it to each battery terminal open the app and start the testing feature. I've also used it to test my alternator and starter on my car that were not giving me any problems but the app was able to provide me with the statistics of that information so it has several benefits and abilities to it. Overall very satisfied.

Recieved tool very quickly, immediately took it out to use. Battery Tester comes in a very nice carrying case, very compact and professional.Downloaded the app quickly and easily, Bluetooth connects almost instantly upon connection to battery.User interface is very simple and easy to use. Test are completed quickly and a very clear and detailed report is given through the app.I look forward to using more TopDon tools.

This is an acceptable battery tester but really not that great. I could do three tests in a row of just the battery in the vehicle and get three different readings. If any module in the car turns on including the alarm it throws all the tests way off. It's kind of a pain to use when connecting to Bluetooth. You have to click on scan Bluetooth each time and then just go to the next page view because it's already connected even though it doesn't show up at all in the list view once you've connected the first time. I like that it has state of charge and life expectancy but there's no way to monitor the actual voltage, it just takes snapshots. For the price it's OK for a quick test but in general it's kind of a waste of time if you're trying to do any kind of diagnosis.

Received 7 of these testers for my shop. We have been using them but can't get through our vender. Received them today and all 7 connected and worked. Price was great also. Fast shipping.
