ACTECmax Universal A/C Compressor 2PK Clutch SD 508 5H14 R134A V Belt 24V

I did a conversion from a GM R4 pancake compressor to a Sanden style on my 1983 C10. The conversion went well and I had hoses manufactured for the conversion. I also had to buy a bracket assembly off Amazon to support the compressor. I did the conversion in Summer 2024 and has been running great for a year+ in GA heat. The compressor is quiet and seems to draw less HP that the OEM compressor. Good cooling. No problems a year+ later. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. P.S. I had purchased three R4 compressors over the past 5 years and all leaked at some point in time (within about a year) and that was the main reason for the Sanden conversion. No leaks!

Replaced York compressor with this. I was price driven and did have to buy an adapter for the universal bracket already on the truck. Everything lined up and fit well as length was an issue. Price for compressor and condenser were less than many single compressors. Hopefully works well once the system is charged.

This compressor fit as it should on the mounts and works great. I now have nice cold A/C air in my car.

This little compressor works great in my 1963 Mercury Comet. Combined with an Alan Grove bracket this little compressor puts out a punch of cold air....

Installed and charged. Immediately started squealing. Clutch loose

Product was a good replacement for my existing unit at a good price.

Works as it it should . So far so good.

Ac blew very cold for about 20 minutes until the compressor seized solid, do not buy. Now since I don’t have a refrigerant reclaim system I’m going to have to empty $100 worth of refrigerant out of the system while taking the compressor off to send back for a refund. Company has not reached out and I can’t get ahold of them to try and make this right. I just hope I can get my money back.
