Awesome knives
I found Dalstrong by accident while looking for a pizza cutter. I fell in love with the brand that I am going to be replacing my current knives with the brand. The knives are weighted and balanced. They fit well in the hand. They are very sharp- I was able to shave my towel while drying them. The blades are thicker than most knives. I expect that there will be very little difficulty cutting anything with them. The included plastic sheaths are pretty robust and they are designed with a positive lock feel to them- push the knife all the way in and you’ll feel it lock in place. The only problem is the blades are bigger and thicker than most standard knives- so they won’t fit into most common knife blocks.Sure- they’re a little more expensive but they are worth the investment.I highly recommend buying these.

The quality and sharpness of the blade is amazing and the construction of the handle is absolute quality ...
Hi, I'm reviewing all of my Dalstrong knives. NOTE: I was a professional (Meat Cutter/Butcher) for over 13 years and a in-home chef (yes I am a woman..LOL). I have been looking for another set of knives for a longtime. The proper weight, balance (blade to handle ratio), quality of the steel, edging of the blade (angle of the edge), grip of the handle and the flexibility or stiffness of the blade, depending on the task you are doing. My boning knife (Dalstrong Gladiator Series) is the most important (I do not let anyone else use), and keep in its case. (It's in the picture for viewing purposes, 3rd from the left). The boning knife does its job! It has the proper feel and grip. It has a proper lip at the bottom of the blade to protect your hand from slipping onto the blade. It has just enough flex on the tip to maneuver in and around bones and joints, and just the right amount of stiffness to cut through joints and membranes. The quality and sharpness of the blade is amazing and the construction of the handle is absolute quality workmanship. I highly recommend this knife. As a note, I wish they had a 5 inch boning knife, but they do not..The rest of my Dalstrong set includes a, 9.5" and 6", Chefs(Shogun Series). First two on the left in the picture. Warning : they are sharp, sharp, sharp! The quality and sharpness of the blade is amazing and the construction of the handle is absolute quality workmanship. The 3rd from the left, in the picture is my boning knife and 4th-10th is for culinary, all (Gladiator Series). The opinion is the same. Warning : they are sharp, sharp, sharp! The quality and sharpness of the blade is amazing and the construction of the handle is absolute quality workmanship. All knives are shipped and packed with protective cases and covers on the tips.(The only one I do not have is the filleting knife, for fish)These knives are NOT meant for the dishwasher or children. The blades are very sharp! (I just glazed the edge with my finger and cut the crap out of myself !!). They're a professional set . These should be hand washed. If you want knives that you put in the dishwasher buy something else!! These are a professional set and should be treated as such!!

Superior quality knife, perfect for more delicate cuts!
As a chef I am very picky about my knives. The best review I can give is my testimony over years of use. I own several knives that are far and away more expensive, beside them and used more often (to preserve my expensive knives) is a selection of Dalstrong knives. This started with a skeptical line cook getting a “Gladiator” series chefs knife. I put that knife through hell on one of the top lines in Nashville. Still beating on it to this day (and it has the battle scars to prove it).So when I wanted a steak knife more appropriate for those delicate fish fillets or chicken cutlets I decided to give these a try. Watching my guests saw through delicate cuts with a serrated steak knife is cringe worthy.Remember… a good knife is only as sharp as the chef. Meaning these knives may be sharp when you get them, they may not. Mine were razor sharp. But any straight edge knife will dull over time. If you learn to hone and sharpen, Dalstrong knives, every single one I’ve owned, are good enough for any cook from the aspiring home cook to the cutting boards of some of the top lines in the country… because that’s where I use them.

Quality and comfortable to use
I was a little skeptical about purchasing these knives at the price. I went ahead and finally purchased these knives. I am so glad I did! These knives are worth the small investment.1. Easy to hold - the knives are very well balanced and the handle has the right size and shape to easily hold and use. My family and I have used these for a couple of weeks now and I can say that there isn't any fatigue or effort in cutting into steaks, chicken and pork chops.2. The knives arrived well packaged and in a very nice box along with a pin that makes this a very affordable gift for any occasion, like weddings or house warming. They also come in their own sheaths. Not paper sheaths but nicely made and fitting sheaths made of something like plastic. They each have a spot in the nice box that they came in.3. These are nice knives and I will not be throwing them into the dishwasher. I have been cleaning them by hand and they are easily cleaned. The sheaths protect the blades from damage and dirt. They also protect my hands which is a big plus when reaching in the drawer for them.Overall, these are a very nice set of knives that are extremely sharp. The blades will need to be sharpened after some use, but they are still sharp after about 10 uses at dinner, cutting easily through steaks, chicken and pork chops. I even used one to prep since I was too lazy to sharpen my other knives at the time. The ridges in the blades do what they are supposed to. The meat doesn't stick to the blades even during prepping raw meat.I will buy more Dalstrong knives with confidence going forward and am even thinking about the carving knife in the same series.
