FIFINE AmpliTank K688 Dynamic Microphone, XLR/USB Podcast Recording PC Mic

I bought and paid for both the K688 microphone and the low-profile boom arm, and I honestly couldn't be happier with this purchase. First, I have to talk about the K688 microphone itself. The audio quality on this thing is unbelievable. It is such a massive step up from any normal, regular mic I’ve ever used in the past, and it literally sounds better than any other mic I’ve ever owned. The voice clarity is top-tier, but the background noise isolation is what completely blew me away. I put it through a full real-world test right at my desk: I have an air purifier running right next to me, my ceiling fan on, a second fan running in the room, and the air conditioning blowing, and this mic cuts all of it out completely. You don't hear any of that noise in the background, and you don't hear my keyboard typing at all either. All you get is crisp, crystal-clear audio. For recording and streaming, it is genuinely perfect. Below the mic, the low-profile boom arm is just as impressive. I love the sleek white look of it—it gives my entire desk setup such a clean, modern aesthetic, and the mic looks awesome mounted on top of it. Beyond the visuals, the build quality is crazy solid. It’s made out of super strong materials, and the desk clamp is extremely thick and heavy-duty. Once you clamp this thing down, the boom arm literally does not move or go anywhere. It holds its exact position, doesn't sag, and does every single thing you could possibly want a high-end boom arm to do. Honestly, the setup process was another huge plus. It literally took me maybe two minutes to completely set up the boom arm, and then it literally took me 30 seconds to attach the mic to it. It's an amazing thing. It takes literally no time at all to get this entire setup ready to go. For cable management, all I did was run the wire right through the boom arm to completely hide the cables, and it makes everything look incredibly clean and professional. Overall, this entire setup is insanely well-built, reliable, and honestly perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their audio. Fifine is an amazing company, and this is easily one of the best products and brand experiences I've ever had! One last thing I want to mention is compatibility. It works with Windows and Mac computers, PS5, Android and iOS devices via USB, and standard XLR gear if you ever want to hook it up to a mixer (just keep in mind it isn't compatible with Xbox due to console limitations). Personally, I’m running it on Windows 11 using a Type-C to Type-A connection—I'm not even using XLR—and it was literally 100% plug-and-play right out of the box. It works completely flawlessly!

I’ve been using this brand of microphones and audio equipment for many years. I’ve had this microphone for almost 2 years now, it still works perfectly fine. This is by far the best budget microphone for the price. It comes with a usb-c cord with a usb-a adapter for your pc. It also has a usb-c port, and an xlr port. It was super easy to plug and play, with no additional installations like drivers or anything. It sounds clear and works great. It has a little mini tripod, but if you have a boom arm, it’s easily adjustable to the direction you want it to be. It has volume sliders in the back for gain levels. The only issue I’ve ever had was the mute button, it came off of the spring. I emailed FIFINE within 1 year of purchasing this specific microphone for that issue. The spring still muted and unmuted the microphone, so it was a small issue, but it was definitely an inconvenience. I use a mixer that I bought from them, so I don’t have to mess with the mute button spring anyway. Instead of them just sending me the 3d printed piece that probably would have cost them $0.10, they sent me a whole new microphone for FREE. I didn’t even have to send back this one to the company. Their customer service was great! I got an email response within a WHOPPING 30 minutes. That’s the fastest customer service I’ve ever seen. They sent the replacement mic within a few days, and I received it within 7 days of the first email that I sent. Great mic for streaming! I’ve been using the FIFINE K688 for my gaming and streaming setup, and I’m really impressed with it. My voice sounds clear and crisp, and I love how easy it is to use with USB. The mute button, volume control, headphone monitoring, and USB/XLR connectivity are all really convenient. It also feels sturdy and well-built, and the shock mount helps reduce desk vibrations and noise. I love that it works great for streaming, gaming, Discord, voiceovers, and content creation. It’s been a really nice upgrade to my setup!

I came to this from another FiFine mic, which was also great. Love the build quality of this - Ampli-TANK indeed. The integrated shock mount works well. All around, it's a great microphone. The only thing I don't like about it - I really miss the physical mute button on my previous FiFine mic. This one has a capacitive switch that illuminates red or green, depending on if the mic is hot. In the position I have the mic mounted, I can't really see it. I have to sit up, lean in, and look for it. I often miss the first try. It's the only drawback. Everything else about it is great.

The ease of use is awesome. I had a Blue Yeti and It was fine but being a cardioid mic, it just picked everything up. This mic has great sound and I'm sure with post production can sound amazing. The noise canceling capabilities it has great too. I put my phone that was playing a video on my desk next to me, something the yeti would have picked up, and I didn't hear an ounce of it in the playback. This is the first day with the mic, so if my views change, so will the review. But for now, it hits all the boxes. Oh and being able to record raw vocals on my iPad on the fly or when mobile is awesome. The quality is just as good there as it is on PC

The K688 is a great all around mic. I spent weeks trying to find a good mic that wouldn't break the bank, but also sounded good, and didn't sound terrible when speaking. When I heard my friends voices through theirs, I knew it was right. I got my wife and I each one, mine being black and hers pink. I like that it's xlr/usb so I could try both. It's pretty durable for it being plastic. Sound quality is really good. You may want to keep the gain low knob low when adjusting it, the mic does pick up alot of sound if not adjusted. All in all this mic can compete with some of the higher end mics on the market, for WAY less.

Honestly didn’t expect much for the price, but this mic is awesome. My room has zero sound treatment and my PC fans are pretty loud, but because it’s dynamic it barely picks up any of that background noise. My voice sounds super clear and full right out of the box without needing to mess with EQ settings. The tap-to-mute button on top is super convenient for Discord calls, and having both USB and XLR means I can plug it straight into my PC now and upgrade to an audio interface later. Easily worth every penny.

Solid mic. Easy to use.

I was so happy to order fifine k688 which is great starter mic but during one and half month i tried so many good cables and devices to clear recordings but this is only recording noise no voice been clear recording.

Microphone works great. However, the stand is kinda flimsy. After a few months, it no longer can support the mic.
